Xi'an Travelling with Hotel (South Gate) is located opposite the historic ancient walls of Ming Dynasty. The famous Bell Tower and the lively Huimin Food Street can be reached in a 8-minute walk. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. Regular activities as Chinese Corner, Night City Cycling, Movie Night, City Walk, BBQ, etc are arranged to have guests engaged. It takes only 8 minutes on foot to both Bell Tower Subway Station (Line 2) and Yongning Gate Subway Station (Line 2). Shaanxi History Museum is 11 minutes drive away while Xi'an Railway Station is a 15-minute drive away. It takes 50 minutes by taxi to Xianyang International Airport. Each guestroom or dormitory at Xi'an Travelling with Hotel (South Gate) is fitted with air conditioning and a work desk. The bathroom also comes with slippers. “Great location, outdated room”
Location was great near the south gate of the wall. Had lots of restaurants in the neighborhood. Good atmosphere at night.

It's well situated, the metro and many attractions are close to the hotel. At the reception there are different tips explaining how we can go to the different attractions in Xian.

“Great value for money if you’re on a budget, and really great location to explore the city”
Had an issue with our original hotel. We were able to book this hotel and just turn up, staff were accommodating and helpful. They gave us umbrella’s for the day to borrow as it was raining which was nice.

This hostel is in a good location right next to the city wall and a 5-minute walk from South Gate. Room was large and fairly comfortable and all toiletries provided. The hostel has a WeChat service where you can message directly if something is needed, which was more convenient than going downstairs.

“Room not as shown and faulty housekeeping”
The male owner/manager was accommodating in refunding us two nights when our travel plans changed. The location is okay, although the nearest metro station is still a bit of a walk for Xi'an standards. We paid a very low rate (150 euro) for one week.

“lousy and bad experience”
They put at the roof top with very dim light to access our room. They try to sell rooms down stairs but pay almost double our current rate. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this homestay. Worst ever place to stay.
