“Simply superb.”

Believe every review you read about Botanica and expect to love it. And then expect to say it was better than you could possibly have imagined. From the moment Sophie opens the door and the gorgeous citronella fragrance envelops you, you know you have made the right choice. For couples of all ages this the perfect chill out base – the freely available coffee, the lovely pool, the beautiful flowers and shrubs, the lovely furniture and tastefully decorated rooms welcome you and from the moment you arrive, you start to slow down. And all this before I mention the extraordinary breakfasts which varied each day – gorgeous fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh bread, home made jams (4 or 5 different varieties), scrambled eggs infused with truffles, local cheeses, smoked salmon blinis, tart tatin (so, so good) - I could go on for ages. And all of this impeccably presented with floral and mint adornments. Sophie is the perfect host and a wonderful human being. The best B&B we've ever stayed in.

“Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Gozo from.”

Our host Sophie made us tremendously welcome and her attention to detail was second to none. The breakfast was superlative, the accommodation was outstanding, the pool and courtyard were like an oasis. Botanica is a short walk to the village centre with some excellent restaurants.

The room was spacious with magnificent views. The breakfast outstanding and location perfect for exploring Xaghra and Gozo. The host was kind and generous, making us feel at home - with excellent tips for walks and restaurants across the island. The garden and pool area is an oasis. Parking also available on site if you have a car.

Such an amazing stay, breakfast was deliciuos. Host was amazing.

“A little paradise in Gozo”

Botanica B&B is a hidden gem in Gozo. We only stayed one night as we only had a short holiday and were trying to fit a lot in. Sophie was so welcoming and the B&B is stunning. It was so nice to stay somewhere a bit more traditional and it was a lovely contrast to our stay on the main island. The room was really comfy & had a lovely balcony & view of the pool. I loved hearing the birds singing and it was so quiet with just the sounds of nature. I read from previous reviews that Sophie did a good breakfast but we were blown away. We are vegetarian and she was so accommodating. All home made and you could see how much care she put into it. We would love to come back. Merci Sophie ❤️

“For a short stay, it was very nice.”

The property is absolutely lovely. Rooms very spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was made with love and very delicious spread. Overall great experience!

The ambiance is very relaxing and serene. There is attention to every little thing including the pleasant scent in the air. Breakfasts were spectacular, more than 5 star! Host was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating.

Amazing place...great aura all around...relaxing and beautiful...an artwork of a breakfast... delicious and healthy. A place that helped us unwind and escape from the hustle of daily life. Our dog was also tranquil..he could feel the pleasant state of mind

Sophie was a lovely host and very communicative. The breakfast was exceptional, extensive and prepared with a lot of care. The house is beautiful and Sophie added personalized touches throughout our stay. We would love to return!

“Fabulous”

It was our second time at Botanica, first time in the summer and this time in the winter. The place is fabulous, very cosy and homely. The breakfast is definitely a highlight, with local fresh ingredients and a fabulous presentation. The host Sophie is a wonderful person, very friendly and attentive to her customers needs. We were free to use the open spaces around the house and the very cosy fireplace. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, hot water, a fridge and a kettle with options to make tea and coffee. Just perfect for a few days stay away from a hectic lifestyle. Really good options for restaurants in the evening as well, just 8 minutes walk away. I give this place 10 out of 10. We will be back again 😊

And let's not forget the breakfast, which was a true 5-star experience. Freshly prepared by Sophie, it was a delightful way to start the day, with a variety of delicious, locally sourced options that catered to every taste. Overall, our experience at Botanica was fantastic, and we would not hesitate to return. Sophie’s hospitality, the beautiful surroundings, and the overall warmth of the house made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Sophie was exceptionally warm and gave us a very pleasant welcome! The room was clean had all the amenities that you need. The mattress is comfortable! When the reviews for the breakfast said that it was exceptional, I did not expect how wonderful it would actually be.

The location, the host, the facilities and the breakfast (prepared by the host) we loved everything and we always make it a point to stay here every time we visit Gozo. It's also pet-friendly too.

Sophie is a very welcoming, warm and attentive host who has taken all the right steps to create an intriguing, breathtaking and tropical villa. As soon as you step in, you find yourself in a beautiful high ceiling house with scented aromatherapy greeting you and candles etc. Sophie is clearly a passionate caring host who has paid attention to the detail and provides the BEST of all breakfasts!!! We were flabbergasted with so many tiny dishes, jams, pancake with apple, fruit, everything.. wow wow wow.. Magnificent! We much return soon so thank you so so much! Love Anna & Hannah xXx

Wow. Sophie has created a beautiful space. So relaxing. So calm. The breakfast is quoted as 'copious'. That's not a big enough word! Fruit, bread, croissants, eclairs, scrambled eggs, juice, unlimited coffee! wow. Sophie will spoil you! The pool is wonderful as well.
