We enjoyed so much our staying in Winsum! It's perfect either you have a family with kids (no stress to be quiet for the neighbours) or if you want just to relax in a quiet enviroment. Ilse, who welcomed us and gave us so many informations about the history of the house and the area, you were wonderful. Kaas, the owner, you did a perfect job, even better than professionals. The house was like a fairy tale. Cosy, spacious, beautiful decoration, antique objects with a story behind, fully equipped (you need to bring only your clothes), it had even toys for the kids, excellent matresses (we really rested!), warm above all. The yard... a paradise. Right in front of the canal, you could see the boats passing by and hear only the wind and the insects flying around. Magical. The village was so beautiful. small and at the same time rich in options. A perfect location to explore the north of the Netherlands. Thank you once more.

“Comfortable and very well equipped cottage in the beautiful historical setting of Winsum.”
This historical house is very charming, directly next to a canal (with garden). The views are nice, street is very quiet (just a few cyclists passing by) and shops in easy walking distance. Winsum is beautiful!
