We liked the opportunity to experience something totally different, sleeping in a tent and having basic facilities and eating outside amongst the noises of the jungle. The food was good and the staff were very friendly.

The staff at Mahoora - Wilpattu were great -- very customer-service oriented. Room was basic and clean and for a tent was definitely glamping! Dinner was superb. Guides were excellent and safaris great, even if we didn't see a leopard or a bear. Night walk was outstanding.

The evening dinner was a great experience under the stars with excellent waiters serving a nice dinner . Seeing the Wildlife on safari was a great experience and the wide range of birds , butterflies and some rare animals like the Loris. We also enjoyed the traditional cookery demonstration. Camping was much more comfortable than usual and we didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes. Organisation was great and catered well for vegans in our family.

Atmosphere at the dinner under the stars was lovely. The staff were helpful and attentive and communicated well. The safari vehicles are comfortable. The food at dinner was nice, breakfast box for safari was sufficient.

The tent was beautifully furnished and appointed and the bed was really comfy. I loved the sustainability ethos and the fact that we bought one package for the half board accommodation and safari in Wilpattu - it saved the hassle of piecing it all together online. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the dinner by the fire was superb. My husband is gluten free and that was all taken into consideration.

Great staff and very well organised safaris - bird life round camp excellent and Wilpattu nearby. Food excellent almost too many courses. Senior Naturalist guide was excellent - very experienced and knowledgeable on birds and wildlife both around camp and in Wilpattu

The camp exceeded our expectations, huge tent with hot water in en-suite. Lovely 4 course meal. Definitely a luxury experience and one to remember for all the right reasons. There is always the worry that safari trips will be too intrusive to the animals and nature but this was not! Very well organised and thoughtfully done.

Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful stay, comfy beds and the camps except for toilets/bathrooms. Nice foods. Really good Safari.

“One of our favourite experiences of the trip”

The staff service was wonderful, everyone was happy and willing to help. They explained the way the camp works and even escorted us to dinner as during our stay it rained almost non stop. Thankfully our afternoon safari was dry, but it rained in the evening and throughout the night, this just added to the experience in my opinion and going to sleep to the sound of rain on the tent was lovely. Me and my friends booked the all inclusive package with safari included, and everything was prompt and organised well. We had a 4 hour safari and were very lucky to see a leopard and 2 eles. We had a 3 course dinner meal by candlelight and some drinks which was delicious. The night Bush walk was included as well. The tent itself was very spacious, 1 tent being for sofas and the other the beds and bathroom. The water pressure of the shower was very low which is to be expected, but it did the job. The air is just hot a stagnant in the tents so it took some adjustment. Next to the beds was a fan which was plenty for 3 of us, as well as the rain we were actually quite cool. The frogs and birds will wake you in the morning but it's all part of the experience.

Such a nice place! Highly recommended if you want take a breake and forget about world for 1/2 nights. Ten was clean and cosy. We ate a delicious dinner in the middle of the forrest at night. Safari was very nice and what it the most important - not as commercial as others. The servise was very good! :)

“Wonderful”

Location was fantastic, staff were extremely helpful and very much there for us whenever we needed. The camp is very well set up with little areas for everything (check-in/reception, dinning, chillout space with couches etc and huge double tents Accom are all in their own little zones). If you like the idea of the camping vibe but still like a the pampering then I definitely recommend. It is for sure five star glamping due to the service provided

It was a really nice safari atmosphere. The stuff was super friendly and helpful. The tent was comfortable, clean and there was a lot of space. Also The short distance to the park entrance was great to visit Willpatu Nationalpark in the early mornings.

We spent one night at the camp for a safari and the place was really nice. The food was excellent and the athmosphere around the fire at night was unforgetable. Staff is lovely.
