This is glamping at it's best. Comfortable camp beds in very clean tents. Bathroom clean and functional. Food is exceptional. Staff lovely, especially our waiter at our evening meal. Everyone made it a great stay. Close to wilpattu and we used their safari team who provided us with a fantastic 12 hour full day of bird watching and leopard spotting. If you like tents, this is a must experience.

A really fun way to do safari at wilpattu. Plenty on offer including nature walks with excellent guides. Breakfast and lunch at the camp were great.

To be able to go glamping almost in the middle of the jungle is amazing. And the people working at Big Game Lodge are the friendliest!

It was a really big tent with all the facilities. I loved that it was in the middle of nowhere and you could hear the animals in the night. Dinner was lovely and I liked it was a candlelight dinner (mostly to not attract bugs and insects) The staff was very attentive too.

The loveliest staff ever. They are running around like crazy to get you the best time. Very good location when you want to go to the wilpattu park. Great atmosphere with torches along the paths and dinner by candlelight. The bush- and village walks (with tea after) were fun and informative.

“Great glamping experience!”

The glamping tents were awesome! Comfortable beds, couches and even a flushing toilet! We had a great time on the safari and saw lots of wildlife. The afternoon tea was a nice bonus plus dinner around the campfire under the stars.

To be out in nature is a treat. The safari was excellent - just long enough. Sleeping in a tent brought back memories of camping in Canada. Dining with such excellent meals and service was a surprise. The whole Wilpattu experience is something for all guests to Sri Lanka, especially the wild animals in their habitat.

Large compound shared between Big Game Wilpattu by Eco Team and Mahoora. The tents on the Mahoora side were larger and more luxurious than on the Big Game side. The dining area and some other facilities are shared. There were new tent pitches being constructed on the Big Game side when we were there. Tents are small, clean and functional. Apart from a bed, there is a small desk with plug sockets for devices, a luggage rack and a standing fan. The en-suite shower room with toilet and sink is small, with not much room to move around. The dining area served delicious, large portions for breakfast and dinner (3 courses). Drinks for dinner were extra and charged to the room. The safari was included in the room rate and an advantage of staying here. The naturalist on the safari was knowledgeable. The staff in general were helpful and friendly.
