10/10 would stay again

Location was lovely being across the road from William & Mary and being so close to Colonial Williamsburg. Room was spacious with good storage and comfortable beds. We were in the room beside the entrance and it was very quiet. Staff could not have done enough for you and breakfast was delicious. Our group booked 3 separate rooms and had no complaints.

An all round great stay.

A really lovely stay in a very comfortable room. In conversation with friends who were staying in town at the same time, it also sounded like we had a much better experience than in other well regarded local accommodation. Really glad we stayed at Cedars.

Home from home with outstanding staff and breakfast

Alex and Miss Reed were without doubt the best thing about this property. From the moment we arrived and welcomed it was like being at home. Very clean, everything you could need and the breakfasts were outstanding. Once Alex found out we were on honeymoon, he moved us to another and bigger room. Location of The Cedars is in the heart of everything.

The employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the area. Leroy appeared to have lived through it! Alex was an exceptional host and kept us laughing throughout the marvelous breakfast each morning. We would definitely return.

Lovely stay at a character property

Cedars is in the perfect location for exploring Colonial Williamsburg, being only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the historc area and the restaurants and shops. It's an old property and full of character, which we loved. The breakfasts were delicious and filling - Alex prepared a different, fresh offering every day of our stay. If you're fortunate you'll get to sample his freshly baked spinach quiche. Our breakfast conversations with Alex were very enjoyable and a great way to get to know other guests.
