The hotel is located in a very quiet area, which made it a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The building itself is beautiful, full of character and charm, with a lovely historic atmosphere that makes the stay feel unique. The breakfast was very good, offering a nice selection of fresh products, and having a restaurant in the same building was very convenient. Some of the rooms also offer stunning mountain views, which were definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

“Wonderful Stay - Brilliant Location”

This hotel reminds us why we have independent hotels. I travel abroad quite often and this was one of the best hotels ever. So much character in the rooms, reception, everything. All clean of course, felt classic as opposed to old or tired as amenities were upgraded. Room size very decent, toilets actually modern btw, which is where you would like to see a more modern approach, and at night just pure peace. Breakfast was decent, though a bit more cooked options like eggs would be nice but more preference than anything else. And possibly one of the other best bits, is the location. 10 mins walk to wilderswil station which is central to jungfrau region or interlaken - bus, even closer. I would change almost nothing at the hotel - its one you go back to again and again for reliable comfort, thanks again to the lovely, friendly team for a wonderful and memorable stay.

“Classic Swiss chalet in beautiful Winderswil”

We stayed in the chalet part - historic old building with sensational views of the alps from our balcony. The lady at reception was very helpful. We appreciated the bus pass that gave us free travel to surrounding area like Interlaken etc - used this a fair bit. The bus stop isn’t far away . Lots more shopping and eateries in Interlaken. However Winderswill is a nice quiet less touristy town than Interlaken. The apartment was warm and comfortable. It was very clean. Decor to suit the age and style of the building. There was a fridge and kitchenette which you’re not allowed to use. Breakfast supplied was typical basic European continental one- only hot food was boiled eggs.There’s an onsite restaurant but it’s closed a couple of nights.

Great old fashion Hotel, oldschool furniture and amazing room with views on the mountains. High quality of personnel special thanks to the personnel on the breakfast and in the main restaurant. Close to all amazing spots like Lauterbrunnen, Grindenwald, Interlaken,Murren. I recommend it to everyone who looks to go back into the past and feel luxurious. We will be back for sure 😊

Everything was great , we got a fully renovated room with a beautiful view on the mountain. The room was super clean and the bed so comfortable. We also loved the restaurant where we had a fondue aux herbes, the best we ever had and the staff was so kind and made it without alcohol upon our request. Breakfast was so good as well. It was just 1 night but it was a very good experience! We recommend without any doubt. Thank you to the very helpful and kind staff.

Comfortable and clean rooms. Some are renovated, but alao those which aren't renovated are cosy and comfortable. Nice traditional internal decoration. Helpful staff. Parking place just outside the hotel.

It's an old chalet that is likely going to go down well with an older crowd looking for history but definitely not for the modern traveller. The property is ageing and not a great choice for summer months.
