Absolutely Everything! Quiet & scenic Location on the Bay with a beautiful park opposite. Plenty of off street parking. The hosts were fantastic with great communication beforehand & met us in person to explain about the property as well as providing info about what to do in the area. We even had a welcome gift waiting in the fridge which was greatly appreciated. The property was modern & beautifully decorated. Too many lux features to mention. The outdoor entertaining area & hot tub were also so relaxing. Best accommodation on our trip by far!!

It was perfect! Fantastic location and million dollar view. Gloria and Miles thought of everything. The beds were so comfortable. Outside deck was lovely to sit and talk. Plenty of space for 4 of us. Close to activities and restaurants.

This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. Every amenity and facility you can think of was provided and Gloria and Miles could not have done more to make us feel at home. The bungalow is spacious, well laid out and maintained to a very high standard. It is in a very peaceful area and the stroll into town along the waterfront is lovely. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge on arrival and a very warm welcome.

We loved The Great Escape in Whitianga - Gloria and Miles were so lovely and welcoming to the property on arrival, and gave us some handy tips for exploring the area. A highlight was taking the provided spades from the property and heading to the Hot Sand Beach! We wished we could have used the kayaks provided for exploring the water across the road from the property, but instead, we opted for the Hot Tub which was perfectly heated and so relaxing. We used some of the fresh herbs from the garden when cooking, and ate beautiful nectarines from the tree in the back yard.. magical! The Great Escape really was a perfect escape for us, we hope to return soon! <3

This house has everything you need for a great stay. Loads of lovely extra touches that really make a difference to your stay. Gloria and Miles were the perfect hosts. They met us and went through everything and were very warm and friendly. If the weather isn’t so good it has lots of options with covered outdoor area, spa pool, games, tv, good Wi-Fi etc. thank you.

Absolutely exceptional. Lovely views, everything was thought of. Spades for hot water beach, towels for hot tub. Complimentary wine and beer. Itinerary suggestions for 1,2 or more days. Walk to town. Kayaks to use. Stunning views. Plenty of info on how everything works and location. Very comfortable beds and couches etc. Some of my family named it the best accommodation we have had in 16 days !

Absolutely wonderful home nestled in a picturesque neighbourhood - the hosts were so warm and welcoming! We had such a good time, every part of the house was so well thought out! We loved the kayaks and my parents loved the hot tub and herb garden. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the kitchen was very well-stocked!

There was so much to love about this property - the location, the spa, the deck, all the amenities, the hosts. We made use of the kayaks. We even used some herbs from the veggie garden in our cooking! It was just so comfortable, we loved our stay!
