“If I ever come back to Sri Lanka, I will 100% be staying here again!”

This is honestly the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I was really nervous coming here because it was my first time solo travelling as a female, but the moment I arrived I felt completely at ease. Kiah, the social host, greeted me straight away and made me feel so welcome, it instantly took away all my nerves. I originally planned to stay for 3 nights, but I ended up extending my stay to 6 because I loved it so much. I made the most amazing friends here, which made it incredibly hard to leave. The atmosphere is just so friendly and social, it really feels like a little family. Tara was also so accommodating and helpful throughout my stay, which made the whole experience even better.

great location and social hostel! they have events in the day and evening, beds felt private and comfortable. They were incredibly helpful and accommodating when I had injured my foot, can not thank the staff enough! would definitely recommend staying here if you are a younger traveler!

I had a great time here. It’s a nice hostel with a good atmosphere. Many people here like to party but it’s still a nice social environment even if you don’t want to drink.

The best hostel in Sri Lanka! The place is clean, there is privacy, ventilator, light and electric outlet in every bed. the workers and volunteers are amazing - helpful and make you to feel at home. Highly recommended!

“Perfect location super social”

Nice and social hostel in a great location - near the beach and right next to a supermarket, also not far from the bus stop to visit other beaches on the coast. Rooms had AC at night and personal fans as well which was nice, beds weren’t super comfy but the curtains were great! There are events run every night by the hostel, the 2 night we were there the only things happening were party related which was fine but would’ve been nice to do some yoga or a beach clean up etc ! Overall thought was a well organised hostel with good security and friendly volunteers!

The four bed dorms are a good size and bathroom is also a good size with privacy curtains that work. I slept really well for the full three nights I was there and great location! Lots of hostel activities and friendly people

I had an awesome stay at Hanng because it's clean, well-maintained, and super social, in a prime location. Literally a 1-minute walk to the surf beach or a supermarket. (Priorities, right?). The crew isn’t just helpful; they actually join in on the fun, making the whole experience even better in Weligama! Huge thanks to everyone! Emily, your barista-level coffees are dangerously good. Irene, your yoga sessions leave people raving all day with a big smile. Tesh and Harshit, you’re absolute gems—your local knowledge is impressive, and if you don’t know something, you’ll figure it out in no time!"
