“Welcoming and caring family”

-The kindest most welcoming family ever -The sweetest dog -Monkeys visited every day for leftover bananas -Lovely spacious and comfortable bed -They did laundry for us -They drove us to other towns nearby by tuktuk -Delicious breakfast every morning cooked by Chanu’s mother -They stocked Kombucha and beers -Lovely relaxing area to watch the beautiful view -They welcome us with fresh coconuts and the warmest smiles - we felt like part of the family! We are so sad to leave. We want to thank Chanu with his amazing family ever for our perfect stay. Thank you all, and we hope to be back in the near future!!!

“A home away from home!”

We felt extremely comfortable and happy here. Our room was spacious and light and the views all around the property are stunning. There is so much wildlife on display here including, of course, the monkeys! The best thing about staying here though was how well treated we were. The breakfast and dinner were incredible and a great introduction to Sri Lankan food and we were continuously greeted by smiles and laughter and caring questions about how we slept and what we needed. One of my favourite stays in Asia.

“A very special place”

This place is one of the most special places I’ve been in all our months travelling. Do not hesitate to book. Chanu and his family are the most caring and attentive hosts and we loved how much they made us feel part of the family. Everytime we left or got back we loved our small chats and smiles from any one of them. The family of monkeys that come to visit blew my mind, Chanu buys kilos of bananas to ensure they get their morning feed and you also have the chance to hand over a banana to a very grateful and delicate monkey, a once in a lifetime opportunity. There is so much other wildlife around the accommodation too and I could spend hours sitting, overlooking that beautiful view of the ocean and spotting all the different animals that come to visit. A big mention has to be to the family dog also who we loved to see each time we left our room and felt like she was guarding us each night sleeping on her chair. Thank you so much for everything. I will be thinking of this place always and I hope one day to come back

Chanu and his family are lovely and the place we stayed has incredible views. Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay, but we would have loved to stay longer.

“Breezy with breath taking views and delicious curry”

The location is so unique, it’s a short steep walk from the beach (great for surfers!) and then you up the hill overlooking the ocean. Plenty of monkeys swinging by and a lovely family hosting the home stay. Delicious dinner served most nights. It’s was such a fun place to stay,

The accomandation is in a the perfect location. The views are breathtaking and the walk to the beach takes under 5 minutes. The place has a hammock in the trees from which you can see the whole landscape. Since it is family owned I have to say that I felt very very welcome. The family is full of warmth and love - you can notice this in every conversation, in the food the make and how helpful they are if you have any questions. Another plus point: You can see different animals on the way down to the beach!

A very special stay at Sky Mountain Cafe. Comfortable rooms set up looking over Coconut Beach- a view you couldn’t get too much of. Chanu & his parents are amazing hosts, so helpful with anything we needed, nothing too much trouble. They also organised a cake for my husbands birthday whilst we were there. Would absolutely love to come back one day, highly recommend, 5🌟, no negatives 🫶🏼

I spent five wonderful days at this place and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very first moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed and taken care of. The owner and his family are incredibly kind, warm-hearted, and attentive. They genuinely care about their guests and it shows in every little detail. Their home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious. The accommodation itself had everything I needed: it was clean, comfortable, peaceful, and well maintained. I always felt safe and relaxed, as if I were staying with friends rather than at a guesthouse.

The location is fantastic, with a great view on the sea. The rooms are bright, the mattress is comfortable, mosquito net in place and AC works swiftly.

“Great stay in secluded location, your home away from home”

I was pleasantly surprised by this homestay and would have stayed longer if it wasn't booked out. Mother and son so friendly and welcoming, no request was too much trouble. There is a serene and authentic vibe here and I loved the sea views but also being so close to the beach. The rooms are basic but very clean and have all you need.

- the best sea view from the terrace - very relaxing - Chanu and his mom and dad were very nice and incredibly hospitable, and I was taken good care of - amazing Sri Lankan breakfast - Good news, the day I arrived, they installed water heaters, so there is finally hot water - I very much enjoyed feeding the family of monkeys that comes over twice a day - right above the most beautiful beach - The Coconut beach

“Accommodation with a wonderful atmosphere”

Absolutely unique accommodation! The family is incredibly nice and helpful. We loved the wildlife—there’s a friendly dog, and squirrels and monkeys visit every morning for bananas. The room was clean, featuring hot water, AC, and a mosquito net. Plus, you get a beautiful view of surfers on the ocean and a short 5-minute walk to the beach.

Amazing location with fantastic view from the cafe. Nice food. Very cool netted platform in a tree where the monkeys sometimes jump and swing above you (usually around breakfast/dinner time). Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Would absolutely recommend and will be going back.
