The owner was exceptionally welcoming and room was lovely. Very clean and short walk in to town

We booked a triple room but they took the initiative to give us 2 rooms which was lovely of them. They also proactively organised fresh milk for us the next morning. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, although a bit dated as others have noted. WiFi was very fast. Everything was clean, towels were fresh and not threadbare. Worth a stay.

Well located for the town. The rooms was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was the best we had in our week in Ireland! I had the Irish Breakfast, and my wife had the pancakes with fruit - both were excellent.

We had two rooms and shared a bathroom, really comfy beds and really quiet house.

Comfortable and spacious room with tea and coffee provided. Rooms were heated. Comfortable beds, the area was quiet with very little traffic and noise. The hosts were nice and recommended several local attractions and local restaurants in walking distance, as their seafood restaurant is closed in winter.

The booking details said breakfast wasn't included, however we were very well looked after in the morning, with a very tasty full Irish breakfast in a bright sun room. The house also had a very nice sitting room, for gathering with our freinds who also stayed.

Host Alan was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was quite good. Easy access to facility and room. Bed was clean and comfortable.

Old Cable House is just on the edge of town and well signposted so easy to find. Quiet when we arrived, only two others staying there. Alan made us a delicious seafood meal for dinner and entertained us with anecdotes afterwards over our first taste of Guinness for the holiday. Room was warm, comfortable and very clean, and quiet too. Delicious cooked breakfast before we left.

Willingness of host to accommodate our needs ; host cooked an amazingly delicious salmon pasta , had beer on tap and gave us a breakfast the best we've had in Ireland. Warm clean room.

The stay was uncomplicated and friendly from start to finish. The room was comfortable and clean, providing everything we needed. Dinner in the evening was excellent, and breakfast was also very good. While it was not cheap, the quality made it worth the price. A special mention goes to the service: we forgot two jackets, and they were promptly sent to us by post—many thanks for this thoughtful gesture.
