“Nice place to stay but housekeeping banging on the door at 9am after a 2am checkin spoiled it a bit”
We arrived at 2am and the checkin experience was great and the member of staff was really good. We left the next morning so not much else to say but comfortable beds

“1970s luxury at an irresistible price for retro-loving travellers.”
Although breakfast is optional, I highly recommend paying the extra couple of bucks to have it included (and remind the receptionist to give you the vouchers when you arrive). Our last-minute booking still came to less than comparable hotels in the area, and my whole family got an a-la-carte breakfast served on real tableware with real cloth napkins. The place is really spacious, and it has a 1970s luxury feel throughout, which almost makes you wish they will never update their decor and furniture. Unless ultramodern is a must for you, you will feel like VIPs at a price you can easily afford.

We arrived around 9:00 at night and were gone by 7:00. No breakfast, hit the road.

We were traveling from Canada to NC. It was a good half way stopping point where we could bring our dog. Loved that there are restaurants close by.

The check in process was easy but the desk clerk gave poor directions to our room. The hotel is laid out strangely and we had to find another staff to help us find our room. Tony was awesome! He found our room, got us a luggage cart and helped with our bags!
