“Incredible property and very happy family holiday”

Incredible property with all the amenities you need and more. Very comfortable stay and clean. The pictures don’t do the property justice it really is so pretty and very quiet. We were able to visit lots of lovely places, such as the castle De Haar, delft, Leiden and go for lovely walks. Beds are very comfy and the property has everything you need. Very thoughtful additions such as board games and dvds. The sliding doors at the back of the property that double up as a whole glass window panel so you can view the garden is stunning. We watched thunderstorms and heavy rain for a few evenings and it was beautiful. One of the best properties we’ve stayed in.

We had a truly wonderful time staying at Elen’s beautiful home. It’s such a calm and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and animals – my children said it felt like living in Narnia! They absolutely loved every moment. The house is well-equipped, peaceful, and full of charm – the perfect spot to unwind. Elen was a warm and welcoming host, and her hospitality made our stay even more special. We would happily return and will definitely be recommending this lovely home to friends and family. Thank you again, Elen and neighbours (they know why :-)

“Great during the day very uncomfortable at night”

The house is in a small estate of houses located near to a small private harbour for residents to leave their boats. It is a very pretty area surrounded by farmland. Ideal if you have a bike to explore, about 10 min drive to supermarket. The property has lovely gardens front and rear, the back has a lawn, but needs a mow, and has a gate that leads to waterways and the little boats. The property has a large driveway and a carport next to front door. The house is well laid out downstairs , the entrance hall has with small utility cupboard with washing machine and dryer, a separate toilet, and plenty of hooks for coats and a shoe storage. Living room has huge sofa tv etc and large sliding door to garden . The living room also leads to nice well equipped open kitchen, in between is a large dinning table and chairs. Stairs from living room room lead upstairs to second bedroom which is more a lobby with a large desk and a single bed next to the wall and a mattress on the floor in between which makes it very snug for two! There is no door between this area and the stairs or stair gate if you have small kids. The only window is high up with a blind and pull down mosquito netting blind,There is a door to the main bedroom which has an on-suite bathroom with shower, large bed and window that looks over back garden. The property is good for a couple with 2 younger teenagers or 3 adults (that don’t mind walking into someone’s bedroom to use bathroom) The stairs wooden floating steeps are quite steep with one handrail. It is well looked after and clean It has nearly everything you require for a comfortable stay.

Beautiful property, excellent facilities, lovely garden. Very peaceful location but still close to Leiden.

Everything was perfect. And very nice lake just behind the garden was very pleasant surprise. The beds were really comfortable.

“Nice house in quiet area”

Quiet location approximately 6 km from Leiden. Easy access to motorway system - Schipol airport 20 minutes, Amsterdam park and ride 30 minutes way. Host in contact by messaging and flexible about our arrival time. Beds comfortable with plenty of storage space and always plenty of hot water. The garden was sunny, with lawn, well sized patio, table and four chairs for dining as well as 2 chairs and sofa for lounging. A fair bit of wildlife in garden including some pheasants. Good wifi that worked in all areas of the house. Large bathroom with plenty of surfaces and a good shower. No disturbance from the neighbouring houses and small mooring area nearby for views of boats and waterway. Approximately 700 m or 10 minutes walk away was the Jachthaven-Brasserie Vennemeer which served drinks and or food - service and food very good as was the Eetcafé de Vergulde Vos in nearby Rijpwetering (7 minutes by car or 3.6 km). Nearest supermarket 2.5 km or others in Leiden.
