Owner was very helpful and informative! Setting is beautiful. It is also very close to Wanaka Tree.

We were welcomed warmly and all our questions answered. When we mentioned wanting to rent bikes, our host offered to rent us some even after we'd checked out. It's a gorgeous and comfy home where we'd happily stay again!

We absolutely loved staying here! The owner is lovely and is very happy to hep with anything you need. The whole lodge is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The garden is beautiful and we loved hearing the birds in the willow tree as we woke up.

It is the most beautiful cottage I have ever stayed. The exquisite living room, the wonderful backyard impressed me and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who travels here! And the host is so friendly and nice, he help us to carry two suitcases upstairs which we are really grateful for! And he gave us very helpful advice about food and activities! The rooms are so clean and comfortable, you can even see the stars through the window. And the host offers free tea bags and coffee, which is so generous. Choose here! Don’t need to look other hotels!

Very friendly communication in the lead up to our stay and another friendly welcome upon arrival. Owner very happy to chap and share hints and tips. Bess help us with restaurant choices and walking paths. Location is STUNNING.

We loved the homestead, the outside hot tub was great, staff were lovely & the surroundings & location was perfect. The room was clean & comfortable.

Staff were great. Very welcoming and lots of tips on things to do and places to visit. Room was great with comfy bed and amazing shower. Would defo use again if ever in Wanaka.

We had a fantastic stay at the Wanaka Homestead Lodge & Cottages. Everything was perfect from the very first moment. The incredibly friendly and helpful owner deserves special mention – his hospitality was exceptional. He gave us the best tips for local restaurants and activities (which were all spot on!) and made sure we felt completely comfortable. The entire hotel was immaculately clean and wonderfully quiet, which ensured perfect relaxation after our excursions. A particular highlight for us were the bathrooms: They are very tastefully and modernly designed and contributed significantly to the feel-good factor. We highly recommend this accommodation without reservation and would return anytime! Five stars plus!

“Wonderful base in Wanaka”

Everything! We had a wonderful stay here. The room was very comfortable, bathroom felt brand new, lounge and coffee/tea station were perfect and the garden was so peaceful. It felt as if we were staying in someone’s lovely country home so could move and lounge about as we pleased. We also used the hot tub a few times! Location was great, right next to ParkRun, the lake for swimming and Roy’s Peak, while town was just a 20-min walk along the shore line. Recommend staying here for a few days as Wanaka and the homestead are very special. The owner Allan was brilliant, super welcoming and helpful but also left us to it.

Many thanks to Allan — he was incredibly kind and helpful. I arrived Homestead with ankle sprain from Lake Tekapo. He offered to call a medical centre for me and arranged an appointment to have it checked and rule out any possible fracture. His support gave me real peace of mind and truly improved the rest of my trip in New Zealand.

The manager was absolutely lovely and went out of her way to make sure we had everything to make our stay enjoyable. Property was amazing.
