The Star has a very warm feel, fantastic style and even better hospitality. The food at dinner time was great and setting very comfortable.

Everything! Really comfortable, cosy and spacious rooms. Loved the cosy lounge room with fireplace; very friendly owners and delicious meals.

Dinner and breakfast both great meals. They also provided a lunch pack that was handy and great for following day.

Great Location just a lovely spot and takes you back in time. We had Dinner & Breakfast both great . The whole experience was very enjoyable. Great service in a very relaxed environment. Loved the 3 golden retrievers that just made the experience a very welcoming one.

Dinner was excellent! out shone anything else in town by a mile. Free umbrella at the door, tested it out in heavy rain and it work really well.

Everything was memorable and we had to drag ourselves away. Michael and Russell were marvelous hosts and the food was delicious (we never did lay eyes on the chef but everything that came our of the kitchen was mouth- watering. And the three dogs were so special. The mine tour with Karen was very enlightening and totally enthralling. The train ride was lovely and would not have been possible with all the hard work of the volunteers. And the cemetery on the hill with all the residents with a spectacular view made us realize how much of a struggle were the early pioneers' lives.....

Delightful property in great location

“Excellent”

It’s was unique, value for money, food was delish. Publicans were amazing, knowledgable, and so friendly. Along with Rupert and Tilly their resident golden retrievers. Didn’t get to meet the puppy.

We were warmly greeted by the owner who was very pleasant & showed us to our room & explained all the facilities. The hotel is lovely & quaint. It’s a small museum kind of town with friendly people. Good for an overnight stopover on the way to Mallacoota. On leaving the owner gave us information on where to see Kaolas in the wild, which we went to & did indeed come across a Kaolas, which I was very pleased about!
