It's an old Japanese home which felt like home during my short period there. Having access to the station (less than 50 meters) and the beach (About 100 to 150 meters) was perfect for me. I have had the most restful time while staying at Moon and Sky Guesthouse and Ito san's friendliness definitely made me feel at home. The sound of the waves was a bonus. Definitely staying here for a longer period when I come to Isonoura again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to stay away from the tourist spots and want to live amongst locals and enjoy slow living by the beach.

“Moon & Sky, Wakayama – Highly Recommended!”

We had an amazing stay at Moon & Sky in Wakayama. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The location is absolutely perfect – just 100 meters from the beach! We really don’t understand why more Western tourists haven’t discovered this gem yet, as it’s ideal for enjoying Wakayama’s beautiful beaches and fantastic surfing opportunities. We especially appreciated being able to use the kitchen, which was a huge plus for us. Another highlight was the piano, which guests are welcome to play – such a lovely touch! Overall, we can’t recommend Moon & Sky highly enough.

Great location- easy to get to from Wakayamashi station. Relaxed host, full kitchen for those who like to cook, and an interesting surf spot. It’s a traditional house and 3 rooms are let out separately.

the property is located just on the beach and the small local train station is across the street. It’s as you turn the corner to be in the beach and if you want to go around you just go on the train. It typical old Japanese style homes build in the 80’s. I like the experience of keeping in a japanese style room. it s summer guesthouse and i loved it.

The staff was accommodating and friendly, a very nice to stay in a japanese house. The owner of the guest house offered to teach us to surf for free. Highly Reccomended.

“Simple place close to the beach”

The accommodation is super close to the station and also to the beach. That is a plus. The rooms have a good size and are pretty clean. checking in was fast and easy. Communication with the owner was also good. Quiet house in Japanese style.

Me and my friend visited this beautiful place off season cause we originally planned a trip to Tomogashima island. Due to bad weather, the ferry wasn't going, but this beautiful beach house and its host made up for our loss. He was very friendly and really tried to make us comfortable. We used the day to relax a bit and spent some hours at nearby "Cafe Glück". The beach and train station are also both only a few minutes away. Full recommendation!

A super cute Japanese style house also with a great little BBQ area to chill in after a swim. Our host was very hospitable and friendly and speaks a little English. Less than a minute walk to the beach, cafe, as is Isonoura station. We will be back for sure!
