“Great!”

We spent 3 nights here with breakfast and dinner. They served good Japanese breakfast every morning. But, the dinner were fabulous. The chef was great. The food was delicious and served beautifully in a Japanese way. We had asked him to get us a local crab and it was one of our best experiences having crab in Japan. Thank you for making all our dinner memorable. The restaurant have a great lake view too.

Some staff members speak english, which makes authentic Ryokan experience accessible to western visitors. Hospitality and cleanliness are top notch, and the breakfast and dinner experience was unforgettable. Renting their ebikes to go around the lakes was memorable.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Due to the extremely hot weather and the lack of nearby amenities, we considered canceling our second night. Unfortunately, our request was declined. Throughout our stay, no particular measures were taken to alleviate the discomfort caused by the heat — the hallways and elevators were not air-conditioned, which made moving around the property quite uncomfortable. When I called the front desk to request some drinking water, I was surprised to be asked to come downstairs to get it myself. This felt a bit inconvenient, especially considering the heat. It seemed that the hotel may have been understaffed during our stay — possibly because it was a weekday and there were few guests — but we had hoped that basic services would still be maintained. One notable concern was the noticeable difference in meal quality between the two days. On the second day, when there were clearly more domestic guests, the overall quality and quantity of the meal seemed to decline significantly. For example, the sashimi portion was noticeably smaller — almost half of what we were served on the first day. This was unexpected, especially given the consistently high standards of hospitality we’ve experienced at other hotels in Japan. While the property has potential, the service during our stay fell short of expectations. We hope that with better attention to consistency and guest comfort, the experience can be improved.

The food was excellent. Dinner was lovely and fresh and the staff were extremely warm and welcoming towards us all. The lake view is gorgeous- we loved it!

Lovely location right on the lake. This place would be great for active people, cyclists and kayakers. Unfortunately, it was raining heavily when we stayed, and we didn't have an opportunity to experience the surrounding area fully. I imagine it would be a fun place with a group of young people. We enjoyed our dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast. They brew their own beer which is a cool aspect and one of the reasons I booked it.

The location was amazing, the staff was so super nice and the kayak tour was such a great experience. We would recommend this to everybody looking to in the area. In the end we could even ride their rental bikes along the lakes to the train station and drop them off there. Thank you so much for the wonderful time :))

Staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly - we happened to be the only guests that night, and we were treated so well! They made our stay so memorable. The dinner was fantastic and very generous, the beer made in house is very tasty, and everything about the room and facilities was comfortable, clean and nice. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

“Very good food and sleep!”

We loved the view over the lake during breakfast and diner, slept very well on the futons. No noise. We didnt stay long enough to enjoy any of the activities they offered, but it looked good. Loved the diner too! Highly recommended. Fish in the morning had an amazing sauce.
