The location was good for my visit to Waianakarua. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was big and clean. The heatpump warmed the room but it was really too cold outside for a heat pump. This would be a great place to stay in the summer. It was quiet and peaceful and very close to the main road. The owners were very friendly.

The owners were so accommodating. We were running past the 10.00pm check in time and they waited up for us. The bed was really comfortable and the unit was spotless.

Lovely king bed, great very well equipped kitchen (with coffee maker!), nice dining lounge. Great shower pressure, cheap laundry, quiet and friendly.

The room was very spacious and the bed was large and comfortable. The shared kitchen was super clean and well equipped. In fact all the common spaces were great. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

What a lovely place to stay. Great rooms in the lodge, clean comfy and the communal facilities were great. It was a lovely spot down by the river with lots of gardens and trees. The owners are lovely people. Thanks for an awesome stay.

“Nice stay over close to Oamaru”

The kitchen was well supplied with equipment but the lounge was a standout... huge and cosy and leant itself well to meeting other travellers. The gardens were lovely and the room very cosy and private. Heating worked well. The bathroom was a bit far for night time visits but it is what it is. The hosts were welcoming and helpful and obviously proud of their property. Was a very nice place to have respite from driving and the cold.

Comfortable bed. When I went to hospital by ambulance they kept my bags until somebody could pick them up.

went through the wifi vouchers quickly, were kindly given extra. Nice people, kids enjoyed the river and playground. Were able to swap rooms when we realised the one booked didn't have a toilet.
