Surrounded by the High Tatras National Park and set by the Popradské Pleso Lake, Majláthova Chata offers accommodation in rooms, a restaurant and a terrace. Each unit at Majláthova Chata comes with a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries. A mountain and lake views can be also enjoyed for each room. Meals are offered at the on-site restaurant serving a traditional Slovak cuisine as well as international dishes. “Exceptional cozy mountain lodge with views on the lake, mountain, and stars at night.”
I've visited several mountain lodges and this one was great. The facilities are above expectations: maybe a little too nice if you are expecting a rustic accommodation. The lake and trails are beautiful. Our room had 5 beds; all very comfortable with clean attractive linen. The room has a small table with sparkling water. The bathroom is small but fully functional with a wonderful warm shower. From 2 beds, there is a perfect view through the skylight on the mountains and on the stars at night. Great food and beer are available from the lodge. Its a good base to use for hiking Rysy: about 4 hours up and 3 hours back down to the chata.

There are all the necessary conditions for comfort. Extremely tasty dishes and friendly staff. From here you can start the route to Rysy or to Hincovo pleso.

Clean nice rooms and a good restaurant. Has a quite modern vibe, different from other "chata"s in the area (tho I like their atmosphere a lot as well). Nice communication on the booking chat prior to arrival.
