Overview
Located in Dolný Smokovec, Penzión Chata Valaška is a family-run pension and a good starting point for hiking in the High Tatras. Only 500 metres from Greguška Ski Slopes, it offers a sauna, a restaurant and rooms with mountain views. All rooms feature a TV and a private bathroom. Some come with a balcony, a seating area and wood-panelled walls and ceilings. There are also two common living rooms which are at guests’ disposal. Free Wi-Fi is provided in public areas. At a bar a selection of hot and cold drinks can be enjoyed. In the summer, a well-kept garden with a gazebo and barbecue facilities invites guests to relax. Games room with billiards and darts facilities is featured, as well as an outdoor table tennis. Ski storage room is provided. Free private parking is possible on site. The nearest grocery store can be reached within 350 metres and a train stop is 500 metres from the Penzión Chata Valaška. An à-la-carte restaurant is 1 km away. Starý Smokovec can be reached within 2.5 km. Tatranská Lomnica Ski Centre is at a distance of 6 km and Poprad is 12 km away.

“Would stay again!”
Clean, great view, pleasant hosts. Helped us with late arrival and provided very clear instructions. Spotless bathroom, good breaskfast. Great value for money.

“Wonderful staffs and worth the money”
Breathtaking views from the balcony and very helpful staffs. The hotel is in a quiet area, but take 10-15 minutes walk a nearby store, restaurant and train station. It’s better to get back to the hotel before sunset if you don’t have a car since you may need to walk through a dark path. We enjoyed spending time there and would recommend this place to you. :)

“Weekend stay”
Easy to find,good parking facilities. Clean rooms,good variety for breakfast -scrambled eggs, sausage, vegetable,bread,rolls,ham and salami,coffee,tea,juice. Quiet location.Very good value for money. 5 minutes walk to the train station.

Location is great. Away from the crowd, but not too far. If you want, you can easily get to the nearby towna by train. The station is nearby. You will always find a place at the parking lot by the property. We had the privilege to spend a few days at the aparment with a kitchenette, a living room, a bedroom and bathroom. We find the stay very satisfactory.

“Amazing place 🇸🇰”
We loved to stay here, got everything we needed and more. They speak speak English so no problem with communication. Stuff super friendly ( Radoslav I think 🤔) and always happy to help and recommend places to visit or eat out. We had amazing view at mountains from the room. Everything was very clean and always smell fresh. We would like to highly recommend this Penzión and we will be happy to come back😊

Excellent place to stay in the Tatra. Close to several trails and places to see. Very cozy room, comfortable bed and duvet. Good bathroom. The hotel has games room, breakfast room and parking free. The staff were very friendly. I highly recommend it!

The room was very clean and modern with a fridge and TV. The host was very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and will come back.
