The most amazing thing is not only you can have a great cabin but also the best view is all around you! The owner is very friendly and kind, it’s very easy to communicate with!

A very neat, comfortable warm place to stay for tourist. Not big, but everything you need is there.

Good value for money and nice location for a stop along the road.

The hostess was lovely and the location stunning. There are laundry facilities (we didn't have time to check them out or use them), a playground, two beautiful farm dogs and everything is well spaced out so you don't hear other guests.

The cottage had everything you could need - a shower with great water pressure, a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen, blackout curtains, and more. We were really happy to stay here and would definitely recommend it, even if it takes a few extra miles to get there! 😊

Great helpful hosts who took us for a tour of their Museum including a little concert with the piano accordion. The cabin was cosy. And had laundry facilities! Yay!

The hosts have a fantastic cottage to rent!!! Even the smaller one was very spacious and could easily fit more then two people. All the required amenities were included and the kitchen as well as the bathroom were equipped with brand new furnishings. I couldn't have asked for more :)

Very remote and very quiet

Thank you very much, dear Jon for all the help you offered, when my car got stuck in the snow. The hut was lovely and everything was perfect for me.

We booked one of the little cottages and had a wonderful time. The cottage is compakt and in theory for up to 3-4 people, but I wouldn't be more than 2. It is clean and practical, with an induction cooker, double bed, and a really good bathroom with shower. There are two radiators, which keep the cottage cozy in the spring as it was only 5 degrees. We sat on the terrace for a while, which was really nice, just watching the geese. It was very quite and tranquil. The Host was wonderfully welcoming. Her English is not fantastic but that didn't stop her telling us lots of interesting things. There is a private post museum across the road, which she runs showing her families history. Really interesting experience.

Brilliant little gem of a place! Stayed in the December for a couple of nights. Amazing atmosphere, beautiful canyon with a mountain views. We even got lucky with some northern lights! Comfortable worm cottage, short drive from the nearby village. And just to add for the story, our host Jon managed to receive from us status *An Absolute Legend * digging us from being stuck under a meter of snow morning after the stormy night (completely our fault by not parking the car closer to the road). Thanks Jon once more! 😊👑

Beautiful and cozy cottage in a wonderful location. Has a small kitchen and bathroom, well heated and with fast WiFi. Welcoming family, they showed us and presented a small museum they have built about the postman profession in Iceland (their grandfather was a postman). Lovely experience chatting with them and getting to know the Icelandic culture and history.
