Overview
Dating back to the 15th century, this rustic, countryside retreat is ideally positioned just 2 km away from the Medieval Quarter, the Palazzo Papale, and the Terme dei Papi thermal centre. The building is set amid typical countryside of the Viterbo region, covering 30-hectares of meadows, olive groves, lavender fields and small orchards. For this reason it is an ideal starting point for interesting walks or bike rides. Taking a walk within the grounds of the farm will lead you to a little hill which offers a lovely view of the Palazzo dei Papi, which towers above Porta Faul and centuries-old city walls. As a guest of the Podere Dell'Arco Country Charme, you can enjoy discounts on the thermal services of the Terme dei Papi. In addition to this, the position of the hotel allows you to enjoy excursions to nearby lakes, historical gardens and houses, and castles.

“Charming hotel”
This is a truly magnificent hotel with history and soul that will be unforgettable! Anna and Marco, the hotel owners, have incredible taste and have invested a lot of time and love into every detail - from the rooms to the hotel grounds. Anna is very friendly and responsive, gave us lots of recommendations, and was always available when needed. The hotel is very clean, and the staff who help take care of the hotel are also friendly and welcoming. The breakfasts are delicious, there's parking, cool pool and a small shop where you can buy the best olive oil. Another plus is that the hotel is located very close to the old town, but at the same time in a quiet and peaceful place. We loved everything and would love to come back! Thank you for such a warm welcome! ❤️❤️❤️

One word sums up our whole experience.. Outstanding .!Anna and her husband make a great team .Anna was exceptional in preparing the wonderful breakfasts , giving us lots of wonderful advice on local places to visit; local restaurants and other practical advice and suggestions on the locality. The accommodation , its facilities and grounds were the best we have experienced on our many stays to Italy .A perfect Italian stay ! We are looking forward to returning .

Very friendly and helpful hostess, who gave great advice on local attractions. Our rooms were large and comfortable. Situated at a busy working stables, so plenty of horse-related activity near the accommodation. Friendly dog and cats! Excellent breakfast. Plenty of space to park.

“A harbour of peace and quiet in a beautiful location”
Very friendly and helpful host, who took the time to recommend us places to see and where to eat in Viterbo. We loved the rooms, the surrounding nature and the swimming pool. Very tastefully decorated and everything in good quality. And we shall not forget to mention a delicious breakfast every morning! We went to Viterbo with the taxi, it is doable by foot ( we prefered the taxi option because the road misses a side-walk on part of the trip) but we would recommend a car. Thank you for a great stay!

“Heaven.”
Decorated with exquisite taste by its artist owner, this former farm-working monastery belongs to a family who also keeps the adjacent horseback riding facility and grows organic lavender and olives. The setting is lovely and peaceful, the owners are discreet and provide friendly, reliable service and serve a breakfast of local produce adapted to the guests taste, including delicious homebaked pies. The wonderful friendly watchdog and carefully led riding lessons on ponies make it wonderful for children. It is a little piece of heaven for family-friendly contemplation, located on a quiet road carved underneath the historic city of Viterbo. The pool with saltwater in the carefully kept garden adds to the charm. The products of the estate can be bought in the small shop and are wonderful. The owners provide excellent recommendations for restaurants visited by locals, however I do wish they'd serve a simple dinner at the estate because it's too beautiful to leave. The rooms all come equipped with a kitchenette and small fridge, though.

This place was realy charming. Apartman was completely new furnished and looks fantastic. We appreciate realy comfortable bed. Hostess Anna is very kind and she took realy good of us. By the way, she baked the greatest cakes for breakfast. We would love to come back sometimes.

Apartment
This is the largest of the 7 apartments and has a large living room with kitchen area looking out over the terrace above the courtyard. Next door is the en suite double bedroom which also has a private entrance. Chestnut-floored stairs lead up to the upper floor where you can relax with a good book on the white sofa (which can also be turned into a three quarter-size double bed). The whole of this floor also has chestnut floors, creating a warm and welcoming environment. The en suite bedroom on the upper floor has a double bed with a carved wooden headboard. It also looks out over the courtyard and you can even see the swimming pool.
Atmosfera - Double Room
Located on the ground floor, this apartment has a spacious living room with cooking area, and a double sofa-bed. The en suite double bedroom is on the upper floor, reached by a chestnut-floored staircase. The built-in wardrobe is set in the wall and the bathroom is laid out over 2 levels.
Fascino - Double Room
This apartment is located on the 1st floor. Through a small access room you reach the living room, which preserves the antique charm and the original plasters.During the restoring work a niche was found, which seems to be a walled-in door. The bedroom faces an internal courtyard and the characteristic arcade accompanying the stairs. The headboard of the bed is an ancient painted door, which gives an authentic and refined charm, enhancing the timeless elegance of the rustic charm style. The bathroom features a large 70x130 cm shower.
Profumo - Double Room
This double room features a pool with a view. Featuring free toiletries, this double room includes a private bathroom with a shower, a bidet and a hairdryer. Guests can make meals in the kitchen that has a stovetop, a refrigerator and kitchenware. The spacious air-conditioned double room features a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a private entrance, a tea and coffee maker, a seating area as well as garden views. The unit has 1 bed.
Quiete - Double Room
This apartment has been built out of the old pig pen, and is sheltered by the walls of the internal courtyard. Very intimate and welcoming, the apartment has a comfortable living room with two armchairs. A chestnut-floored staircase leads up to the bedroom whose wardrobe is set in the unused chimney of the old wood-burning oven (which you can admire just by the entrance to the apartment). Either side of the wardrobe there are little windows; there is also a larger window which looks over the shady garden and has a partial view of the swimming pool. The spacious bathroom is on the other side of the upper floor, reached by a walkway which overlooks the courtyard.
Tradizione - Double Room
Taken from the kitchen of the farmhouse, this is the only apartment which boasts a fireplace, dating back to the 15th century. The rooms preserve the ancient atmosphere; from the restored original main door, you enter the living room with a kitchenette and a sofa facing the fireplace. The spacious bedroom maintains the original terracotta tiles, houses a wrought-iron bed and incorporates a pure linen tapestry refined with matching trimming. From the bedroom you can access a small entry with a shower and then the bathroom decorated in pastel sky-blue tones.
Passione - Suite
This very large attic room still has the original characteristics such as the beamed ceiling and flooring. The antique furniture also add to the atmosphere. On the wall opposite the bed there is an inscription, which was written in the 16th century, by one of the friars who used to live there. The kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a coffee machine and kettle with free teas and infusions. The spacious bathroom offers a large shower cubicle.
