Nice for families, friendly and cozy

The place is magical, historical and educational. Staying in a School has its own atmosphere. The location is perfect and it is not far for all the attractions on Astrid Lingrend.... Besides... Matt, is an excellent host and will explain everything to you... Including the history of he place.

The concept of a non-profit association, where the locals volunteer to run the place and our kids could stay in an old school was great! As everybody takes care, it is also super clean and comfortable. You are also just a bicycle ride away from Bullerbü and close enough to Vimmerby.

Former school transformed into accomodation facility. Modest, decent, clean and quiet.

A perfect place going the Astrid Lindgren Värld in Vimmerby. The place is set in a beautiful rural setting and is a great place to stay if you want to catch the "Småland vibe". Perfect for children with a gymnastic hall and playground outside. Friendly staff. Good beds. A great place to stay for families.

“Fun 🥰”

Nice host and common areas. The kids really loves the sports facility. It was really easy to find the place and not far from the town Vimmerby where u could find groceries, gasstation, restaurants and stuff Do to.

A great place to stay in for families. A unique hostel with interesting history, located in a region where Astrid Lindgren's books are a living story. Owners where very helpful and made plenty of recommendations on what to visit in the neighbourhood. A very well equiped and organized kitchen. Kids had planty of space to play. Parents also had a cosy library to relax in.

“Amazing place!!!”

Very nice place, a spacious kitchen equipped with all the necessary equipment (fridges, cooker, oven, microwave, coffee machine, even a blender :)) / a beautiful and large library where you can spend time pleasantly / unlimited access to the gym and all the sport equipment such as balls, ropes, mattresses, rackets, etc. / the host very nice and helpful / the hostel very very very clean. We stayed only two nights but the place is also great for a longer stay.

“Exceeded expectations”

Best family friendly hostel I've stayed at. It's an old school, our bedroom was half a classroom -- great play facilities and gymnasium and very spacious kitchen and common areas. The association that runs it really care about their community and keeping the building alive and take a lot of pride in creating a great experience. A very lovely place to stay and well located for Astrid Lingrens world. Don't miss visiting the nearby church, a fantastic piece of architecture!

Great indoor and outdoor spaces for kids to play and do sports.

Great place for families, being an old school. The kids loved the outside area and the gym hall that they could freely use. Very quiet location. Short drive to Bullarbyn and also Vimmerby. The school and the village have an interesting history. Fun fact: Astrid Lindgren's parents got married in the old church near the school.
