Overview
Just 3 km from Astrid Lindgren World Theme Park, Björkbackens Karaktärshotell offers free parking and rooms with free wired internet. Vimmerby Station is 1.5 km away. “Review of a Child-Friendly Hotel in Vimmerby”
We had a wonderful stay in Vimmerby at a hotel that truly deserves the label child-friendly. The location is ideal for families, with easy access to both Astrid Lindgren's World and Leo's Playland—two attractions our kids absolutely loved! The hotel offers great facilities for children, including a cozy playroom and a movie room that made our evenings both relaxing and entertaining for the whole family. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it was easy to unwind. Our room was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged for both adults and children. We slept really well every night—it felt like a little retreat amid all the adventures. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The hotel restaurant served delicious food, and there was something for everyone—kids and adults alike. Plus, the town of Vimmerby itself is calm and safe, making it a perfect destination for families who want a vacation without stress or noise. All in all, a lovely experience and definitely great value for money. We'd be happy to come back!

Breakfest and Dinner was very good! But a quiet evening for parents or grandmothers was different, then the Play-area for children was in Front of the relaxe-Wintergarten and Terrasse..!!.. why,?, the Kids are "quaking" at Saturday evening ....

“Lovely place especially for families with kids”
There was a lot of entertainment and toys for kids, making life easy for families. Cinema, play room and other things. Playground and pool just around the corner. There is even an area with microwave and fridge. All staff members were lovely and super helpful. The outside of the hotel looks a bit old but on the inside it is fresh and cosy. Plenty of easy free parking.
