Overview
The Chateau de Villersexel is like a one of a kind charming gîte where you will be accommodated in the fashion of paying guests in a convivial and family atmosphere. The castle has kept its furniture as it was a hundred years ago and its owners still live in it thus offering you a real taste of French history. More than a gîte or a hotel, the Chateau de Villersexel is simply our house and we are delighted to welcome you here.

Amazing place. Incredible rooms with ceilings about 50 feet high. A real privilege to stay in such an historic and impressive building. The owner greeted us in person and was there at breakfast to check everything was ok.

“A stay that you will definitely remember (for all the right reasons!)”
This was our second visit here, the first having been six years ago. The chateau is lovely but still requires a lot of work to restore it fully to its previous grandeur. Many original period fixtures and fittings mixed in with some rather incongruous modern items. Very spacious bedroom and bathroom, extremely quiet and peaceful. Very good breakfast served in one of main reception rooms - you can pre-order what you would like. Pleasant staff.

Quite impressive castle. Rooms in lower floor (breakfast) are in good condition and worth to see. Breakfast is o.k. Visiting restaurant next to church (not related to castle) is strongly recommended (if you are not vegetarian).
