A beautiful property, not far from Chambord and yet far far nicer to stay at, rather than the Relaid hotel at the Chambord Chateau. We had a fantastic time, were well looked after and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

“A real unique privilege stay”

It was a total privilege to be welcomed by Claudine into her family home of four centuries. We were treated like family guests. She cooked and served us a wonderful 4 course evening meal in the main salon having lit us a log fire. Many ingredients from her garden, as well as a very hearty breakfast with eggs from her hens. A really memorable stay. We would gladly return.

“Elegant and enchanting stay in family owned castle”

We enjoyed the experience of staying in a family owned castle and the kind hospitality of the owners. We felt more like guests than customers. It was enchanting. The location in the middle of the forests is very relaxing and there are nice walks around water pounds. The building is very elegant and furniture is mostly antique. My daughters also loved the two gorgeous and so well behaved basset hounds. The pool was definitely a plus on hot days.

From the moment you arrive on to the circular driveway you step into another world, i.e. the world of an 18th century palace (two cheeky basset hounds included). The hostess made us feel at home at every part of our stay; whenever she could she offered her assistance. Furthermore, the breakfast with the different cheeses and the perfectly boiled eggs were superb and the warm and spotless pool was fantastic. I thus definitely recommend this place if you would like to visit the Loire area and want to get away from the daily rush.

This is a wonderful chateau for a relaxing stay. The chateau itself is beautiful, with charming authentic rooms that have a lot of character. The pool is a lovely spot to spend an afternoon reading a book and unwinding. The breakfast is excellent, featuring local products, and we highly recommend staying for dinner at least one evening in the romantic chateau setting. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that everything is taken care of down to the last detail. With only a few rooms, the stay feels very personal. Day trips to places like Blois or wine tasting in the Sancerre region are within a 30-minute to 1.5-hour drive. For us, this was a unique chateau experience which we highly recommend!

Warm welcome, outstanding entrance and stylish property, beautiful grounds, a spacious and airy bedroom, delicious breakfast with local products and amazing wine! My partner and I have been travelling the Loire valley for quite a while now and our starting at Chateau de la Giraudière was probably one of the best experiences we ever had. The biggest thank you goes to Claudine ( the host ) for making our staying unforgettable!

The Owner Claudine, a most charming, intelligent, efficient and kind lady, not to mention extremely beautiful, extended to us warmest hospitality, and did everything for us to enjoy our stay at the Chateau and feel like home; The Chateau itself is a very nice and inviting Chateau. To your question - Breakfast was very good and plenty.

“Perfect escape from busy city life in the charming French countryside”

Beautiful and remote part of the Loire Valley and a great spot to explore surrounding towns and chateaux. The breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious, with our final breakfast being set up outside in the sun as per the host’s suggestion, and the evening dinner was exceptional. Claudine the host is absolutely lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. You can see the love she has for the property and it comes out in her generous hospitality. She also had very useful recommendations for us for local towns and chateaux to visit. The rooms are beautiful and the bed comfortable. Couldn’t recommend more!
