“Couldn’t stay at hotel”

I stayed in the hotel with my daughter and we loved every part of it. The hotel was a lovely family hotel and very comfortable. There was also a nice swimming pool. Views of the sea were lovely too. We were made very welcome by Fabrice and Charlotte and we really could not fault their hospitality. So much nicer than a large impersonal hotel!

Good location, although a car is a must (however there is parking with a charge).

Our hosts were very welcoming and hospitable, our room had a little terrace outside with outstanding views down towards the pool and further on to the bay. A small bar with very good and well priced wine, some from Charlottes mother's vineyards. We enjoyed our stay very much. Like much of the area it is expensive but that seems to go with the territory. Nearby an excellent little bakery and cafe.

The hotel is located in the upper part of Villefranche-sur-Mer, close to the main road. It’s important to note that reaching the town center – for example, for dinner or a seaside walk – requires a car or taxi, as the property is not within walking distance. At the beginning of our stay, we experienced an issue that was quite unpleasant, but the owner reacted immediately and with genuine concern, doing his best to resolve the situation. We appreciated his attention and willingness to help.

Lovely little hotel with a personal touch

The owner was very strange complained when we asked for a drink at the bar and took our takeaway from us when we had been for dinner Also gave my partner a shooting at when I took the luggage to room and he didn’t carry which was because he had a bad foot and struggled to walk

We really liked Charlotte and Fabrice and also the young gentleman on reception! We feel bad that we did not catch his name as he did so much to help us every day that we were there! He helped us navigate public transport in the area. Charlotte could not do enough for us. She even sorted dinner for us on Sunday evening as the restaurant nearby was closed. She is such an interesting person; it was a joy to spend time with her and Fabrice. I feel the swimming pool was a real bonus for us. We stayed there a week, it was lovely to see all the main resorts but an extra bonus to have the option to have a lazy day/afternoon by their beautiful pool.

The room was large and very clean. The pool area was plain, but comfortable. Charlotte and her team have heaps of charisma and generosity - she shared dessert with us, and the wine from her mum's vineyard is wonderful. There is a wonderful boulangerie and restaurant nearby. The hotel has a few useful bus stops close, to get to towns such as Eze, Beaulieu Sur mer etc. The views are beautiful.

“A good location as a base to visit places along the coast.”

The swimming pool makes this hotel. It is kept very clean. Like other recent reviewers have mentioned, the photographs on Booking.com do not totally reflect the current property or the furniture. For example lovely glasses of wine are shown by the pool in the pictures but actually no food or drinks are allowed there. One photo is of Eze village and the botanical garden further up the coast! It is worth doing a Google Street View to see where the hotel is and what it looks like from outside. If you are coming by public transport it is a long way from the station up steep hills. However, a visit to the tourist information office will give you info about how to get bus tickets. From outside the hotel you can get to Nice, Monaco, Menton and small towns in between. We did not use the bar or have the breakfast as we were out quite alot so can't comment. Some good restaurants near by and a small supermarket. In the room there was a kettle. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure and temperature all day. Air conditioning was powerful.

Very friendly owners. Relaxed atmosphere, pet friendly. If you travel with a dog is a good place to stay. Nice terasse with a swimming pool with a sense of privacy

Location by the road and parking just outside. We could bring our small dog.
