“Fabulous location and beautiful surroundings Ionin”

The gite was perfectly located, only 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive to the beautiful village of Villandry. Our hosts were very responsive to any requests.

Amazing big garden. The property is so well equipped for anything you may need for your family holiday, from cooking utensils to a cot, to many toys for kids and play equipment outside. We also loved the pool even though it was unfortunately bad weather a lot of the time we were there so couldn’t use it as much. You can walk into the village in about 10-15 minutes but there is no footpath for a lot of the walk (but not many cars around). The owners live next door so can help with any problems, but it feels like you are in the house by yourself as it’s still quite separate which is great.

“Excellent family stay!”

We traveled as a family with two children and had an absolutely wonderful time! The house has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. We were particularly pleased with the large, well-kept grassy area. ​The swimming pool was a huge plus, of course. The location is very convenient, close to major highways, which allowed us to quickly get to all the castles and attractions in the Loire Valley. ​We want to give a special thanks to the incredibly friendly and hospitable hosts. We highly recommend this place!

A very comfortable gite in a very beautiful and quiet location but still very close to the many local attractions. The pool and being able to see the various wildlife were a bonus.

“Great location and facilities”

The location and facilities were the key elements to the choice of house. It appeared quiet as the church tower was someway away (had to check with Google maps) Everything worked and a nice (shared although unintrusive) garden space. It was realtively quiet given the semi rural location and the doings of people getting on with life. The real test is would one return - YES and would you recommend to a friend - YES

Beautiful setting, with access to a shared garden with the owners main residence. Use of pool and play equipment. Very comfortable and homely. Owners very hospitable but mindful of giving us space. Location near to Villandry and the surrounding countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and found it completely relaxing.

the location is fantastic, within easy reach of many of the Loire Valley's many highlights. The kitchen has everything you need and the garden is a delight. Make sure you visit L'Etape Gourmand, a farm restaurant within easy walking distance.

“An outstanding property”

A great cottage peacefully set in a relaxing, private garden, just behind the chateau of Villandry. Very well-equipped, including for one or two young children. Just a short walk from bar/restaurants. Good access to quiet cycle routes. This is an outstanding property to have as a base for visiting this area.

We have just spent a wonderful 4 nights in this charming gite from which we visited chateaus near (Villandry, around the corner) and further afield (Chambord). It was a pleasure to deal with and finally meet our delightful hosts. We were sad to leave.

“A perfect stay if you want a quiet get-away”

The property was exceptionally clean and well presented. It had everything we needed apart from a bath which would have been useful to bathe our baby in. There were two high chairs (one which day in the garden) and also lots of games for guests to play (chess, Malki etc). The pool is fab - it’s a great size and there is plenty of space around it.
