Overview
Built in the Baroque style of the 18th century, this former palace is surrounded by the wonderful countryside of the Carriedo Valley, in the green region of Cantabria. The Palacio de Soñanes was originally built in 1719 by a local noble family. To this day it retains many original stone features which add to the charm of this luxury hotel. You can also climb the enchanting Renaissance staircase at the building’s heart. Dine at the hotel’s splendid à la carte restaurant, Iniro, where you can choose from delicious local dishes and more modern cuisine. Accompany your meal with one of the 175 varieties of wine available in the palace’s own cellar. The decor in each of the guest rooms matches the palace’s traditional elegance. Rich fabrics blend with exquisite carpets and luxury, antique-style furnishings – ideal for a romantic getaway.

This is an amazing 17th century house that has been converted into a hotel. The building itself and its interior is fantastic! The restaurant was wonderful. Breakfast could not have been better. The landscape in the area is breathtaking, somewhat like the pays Basque near Saint Jean Pied de Port.

Beautiful old baroque building, inside and outside. Very spacious rooms with all the comforts including room service. The breakfast is amazing, with a lot of choice including gluten free. The property is beautiful. The surrounding garden is great to chill out and the swimming pool is just the right size. The breakfast is quite good because the bread and cakes are homemade. The amenities are fantastic.

Everything. The parking is convenient, the rooms are amazing, the restaurant is terrific, the people are super friendly.
