“Paradise”

We had a wonderful time at Luke's Place back in November. Linda was a lovely host, and very knowledgeable of the area. Communication was quick and easy. Her property is in a beautiful neighbourhood and has a direct access to the beach, just a short walk from the central market. The garden was extremely well taken care of, with sunbeds to relax and a pool. The apartment we stayed in was super comfortable, spacious, clean and the bed was perfect. The best equipped kitchen in this side of the world! Other than all these things, what mattered the most, was the great feeling you're left with after staying at Luke's Place - that's the best memory. I sense we will be back in the future!

Linda the host is exceptional. Always available and forthcoming to help and address any questions. She is also very knowledgeable of the culture and services available in Vilanculos. Her assistant (Dito) is exceptional and very helpful in local culture, activities and general runarounds for us as guests.

“Restful and unforgettable stay.”

Luke’s Place is an absolutely beautiful setting. I have never felt so relaxed before. The space in the room was ample and the garden furniture was extremely convenient. The room has everything you need for your stay. The staff are all very friendly and care about your comfort - I even got a coconut cut down for me for some fresh coconut water! Linda is fabulous and so incredibly helpful, it felt like I was visiting family.

“Awesome!”

Linda is an awesome, thoughtful host who thought of everything when she planned her chalets. Nothing is too much trouble. Louis helped with a fire for our braai and even some ice! The view is breathtaking from your bed, the veranda and the garden! You can't stay anywhere else in Vilanculos!! The personnel is friendly and always around to lend a hand. Will definitely come again!

Our stay at Luke s place was just amazing ! Great place to enjoy and be relaxed. Linda is the best host. She can organize all that you need and is very accomodating. This place is a little piece of heaven. I highly recommend to stay there at least few days to just chill and enjoy Vilankulos. Super safe as well. And so confortable ! I just want to come back !

I absolutely loved it! It's so calm and peaceful, you sleep hearing only the palmtrees leaves shaking with the wind and the sea waves. It's a home you don't want to leave!

A Dream Stay at Luke's Place in Vilanculos! From the moment we arrived at Luke's Place, it was clear this was going to be a holiday to remember. We stayed in the stunning two-bedroom beachfront villa from 8th to 19th December, and it exceeded all expectations. The villa itself is absolutely beautiful, perfectly blending comfort and luxury, with breathtaking views that made every sunrise feel like a masterpiece. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying coffee on the veranda while watching the sun rise over the ocean was nothing short of magical. What truly set our stay apart was Linda, the amazing owner of Luke's Place. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, catering to our every request with such warmth and care. Linda's hospitality made us feel very welcome and taken care of—it's rare to find someone so dedicated to making their guests' experience truly exceptional. “Great host Perfect location”

We liked the pool, the staff, the beach access, the fresh ccconut. Linda was very helpful, she picked us up at the boat on arrival and dropped us at the airport upon leaving. Linda was very attentive and made sure we had all what we needed. She even shared some local tips about restaurants and things to do.

The property is nice, in a quieter area of Vilankulo. The bungalow is clean and comfortable. Linda (the host) is vey helpful and gives you great suggestions.

Linda welcomed us as we were family. We felt warmely welcomed from all the staff. The place is great, the views to the ocean, and the accomodation itself is the closest deffinition to paradise!

The property was right on the beach with beautiful facilities. Linda, the owner, was a wonderful host and was very attentive to all of my needs. I also highly recommend this place for female solo travellers.

“Slice of heaven! Beautiful, magical spot!”

Luke's place is a little slice of heaven! Gorgeous accommodation right on the expansive beach and 700m from the closest restaurant Baobab with great food! In the morning you look out onto the ocean shimmering from the sun - really is such a sight! Linda was an outstanding host making sure we got the most out of our holiday., She was super helpful and made as feel like we were at home, always making sure we were well equipped and even taking us to town to get groceries and collecting us from airport etc. Linda recommended a day outing on a dhow to Magaruque island to snorkel and have lunch and it couldn't have been more perfect or well organised. What a fabulous holiday that left us so relaxed :) we will definitely be back to this amazing spot.

“Relaxing in paradise with a great host”

The place is like paradise, the chalet is very well organised and beautiful. Linda is a great host, absolutely recommended! Vilankulo is amazing, enjoy your stay and visit the islands nearby! Super comfy bed despite a bit too narrow.

Absolutely amazing! This place is so peaceful and beautiful! The host Linda even picked us up from the airport and brought us back. The rooms are very clean and the stuff is warm & friendly. We enjoyed every second of our stuff.

“Ocean views, great location and hospitality”

One of two beachside huts set just off the beach amongst the palm trees. The place is perfectly tranquil, with well manicured gardens and a fantastic view of the beach, whether you’re on your hut porch, in the pool or sunbathing on the lawn. We had an incredible stay here (5 nights). Linda, our host, really looked after us our entire stay, helping with airport transfers and recommendations for our stay - we felt very at home. Service from the staff was great, especially Dito, who even climbed one of the palms to fetch us a fresh coconut! The end hut was clean, tidy and spacious with cooking facilities. Would recommend Baobab for meals and drinks a short 10min walk away on the beach. And Odyssea Dive for amazing dive trips.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Luke’s Place for a week, and it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had been transported to paradise. The location was stunning - with breathtaking views of the ocean from the bed. It was the perfect escape from our busy lives. We immediately felt the stress melt away. During our stay, we also had the opportunity to go marlin fishing, snorkelling in pristine waters, and kayaking along the picturesque coastline. These experiences added an exciting dimension to our holiday, allowing us to explore the stunning marine life and crystal-clear waters of the area. The cleanliness of the property was impeccable, and our accommodation was spacious, well-furnished, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on clouds, and the amenities were top-notch. We especially enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, which allowed us to prepare delicious home-cooked meals from the Marlin caught next to one of the islands apposite Luke’s Place. The highlight of our stay was the exceptional customer service we received. The staff at Luke’s Place went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were always available to answer our questions and offer local recommendations, ensuring we had a fantastic experience. We spent our days lounging by the pool, taking in the warm sun, and sipping on refreshing coconuts from Linda’s Garden. What made this holiday truly special was the peace and tranquillity we found here. Our stay at Luke’s Place was worth every penny, and we can't wait to return. It was a joyful and relaxing holiday that left us feeling rejuvenated and grateful for the memories we made, from marlin fishing to lazy poolside afternoons. Thank you to the amazing staff and everyone at Luke’s Place for providing us with the perfect getaway. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating holiday. “Why would you look anywhere else?!”

What is there not to like?! From the moment you walk through those gates, you’re at home away from home. Linda and Louis do an incredible job of not only running this beautiful property, but also making you feel like you belong. Situated right there at the beach, you’ve got long walks out at low tide, swimming in high tide, palm trees for shade and a pool. It’s paradise. And if that’s not enough, Linda can hook you up with the best operators around for day excursions to the offshore islands. The cabins themselves have all that you could want, with plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. I’ll be back again, and I’m bringing friends. A big shout out to Linda who went above and beyond to help me out, when my flights out went askew. She not only kept me in the loop better than the airline, but also had contingency plans ready if things didn’t work out. Incredible service.
