Overview
Hotel Air Penedès is set between Barcelona and Tarragona, and is well-connected by motorway to both cities. The hotel offers free parking and free Wi-Fi in all rooms. The hotel is surrounded by gardens and has an outdoor swimming pool, open in summer. The Air Penedès is on the edge of the town of Vilafranca de Penedès. Some of the region’s best wine and cava cellars are within a short drive. The PortAventura Theme Park is within 35 minutes by car, and the beaches of Sitges are less than 20 km away. All rooms are spacious, exterior and soundproofed. There is satellite TV with national and international channels, and central air conditioning and heating.

“2nd visit - not disappointed”
OK, it's not The Ritz, and it's not a luxury holiday hotel, but if you're travelling it could be the perfect choice. It's very close to the AP7 motorway, it has ample, free, private parking for your car, van, rv, trailer, motorcycle etc, and it's dog friendly. The lifts work, as does the air con, and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant has an excellent choice of meals at decent prices and the staff are friendly and helpful. The soundproofing seems to work well. Breakfast was adequate.

“Suitable hotel for transit travellers.”
The hotel is pet-friendly and very close to the motorway (that's why I chose it on transit to Costa del Sol), in an ugly-looking industrial/logistics district. But passing the tunnel below the motorway, in 200 meters vineyards and vineries made it a pleasant morning walk with my dog. The hotel has an outdoor pool, perfect for refreshment before hitting the road again.

The evening meal in the restaurant was very good value and good choices available. Staff were friendly. The hotel was very close to the motorway exit so perfect for a one night stopover. Plenty of free parking.

staff were very good. food was good ( if somewhat overpriced) to be fair this is now the case in most hotels in France, in fact most countries now including England. RANT OVER.
