If you understand that it is a budget hotel, you will enjoy that this is fun, different and well designed with a lovely breakfast, a lot of space, inside and out, in a lovely place. We loved it.

Nice location close to town with great views especially from the terraces in front of the suites. Other side doesn't offer views. The owner knows a lot about hiking and offered free access to his routes on Komoot. Room was spacious. Part of his water supply comes from rain water.

Marco, the host, is super kind and attentive, and makes sure you have well beyond all the info you need to enjoy your stay, with detailed instructions of the island's offers, including a link to a hiking app with many trails already marked, and he's very familiar with everything on the island, seemingly through personal experience. He also makes sure you are picked up from the port for the normal fare (if you like), and waits for your arrival to greet you at the doorstep. Rooms are very spacious and clean. In addition, they are cleaned every morning. Mattress is very comfortable. Views are fantastic (either to Fogo, or to the nearby valley) as the hotel is on a little hill, yet less than 10 minutes walk from the main plaza. The room was equipped with a mini fridge, where you can store some drinks for the end of a nice exploration day. An extra screen door protects the room from flies. Breakfast includes various options. When you leave, the host takes care of transportation if you like (again, for the normal fare, no extra charges), and he waits with you until your transportation arrives. An exemplary host, who is truly interested in his guests having the best visit, not only at the hotel, but throughout their entire stay on the island.

Good location and friendly, very helpful owner Mr. Marco. Room is spacious and stylish, with fridge. Bathroom is clean. Internet connection is good and for breakfast you get great local goat cheese and hibiscus tea (among the other food and drinks). Highly appreciated and recommended!

Loved the solitude- the location and the sound of the wildlife! Nice breakfast and Marco the host was very helpful and informative. Great wrap around balcony.

“Good price, ok accommodation”

The room (we had suite nr 2) was big and had a great view of the mountains. Only 10 minute walk to the 'centre'. And the price is very low, compared to other accommodations in Brava. When we arrived, an aluguer (shared taxi) had a sign with our name on it. As the owner stated in a general info-mail, all prices of alugueras are the same (350 CVE). But it turns out that other tourists paid 100-150 CVE for a one-way to Novo Sintra... The recommended restaurants aren't that great, but we didn't find better options ourselves. The owner recommended a car rental company in the main supermarket (enter the supermarket and go to the office in the far left corner). We could rent an old RAV4 for 7000 CVE per day.

“A great experience all in all”

Marco, the host, was super nice and helpful. The view from the lodge is amazing. I appreciated the mosquito nets in the windows big time, as I was able to let the cool air in at night and enjoy all the birds chirping. The room was comfy, with decent bathroom and a small fridge.

“Best Choice in Vila Nova Sintra”

Definitely the best located hotel with the best view in the entire village of Vila Nova Sintra. Cozy room, well furnished and functional, bathroom with hot water with good water pressure in the shower. The bed mattresses were orthopedic: the room has a good ventilation system. The breakfast: This was one of the best breakfasts we had in Cape Verde especially compared to the cheap price we paid. The owner provided us with a lot of information about the island and the excursions to do and furthermore there is an area available to customers with material and maps of the island which are very useful for those who want to go trekking. We were satisfied and will return!

The location is fantastic as close to town with amazing views. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was simple but very nice. The host very happy to help with anything you needed, such as arranging transfers or recommended places to eat
