Situated in Vík town centre, this historic century-old hostel is a 10 minutes’ walk from Vík’s famous black beach. Guests have access to a communal, well-equipped kitchen and shared seating area. Kötlusetur Museum is located next door to the hostel. Each room at Puffin Hostel Vík is simply decorated and has shared bathroom facilities. Jeep tours around the surrounding mountains can be arranged. A public indoor swimming pool and horse riding activities at Vík Horse Adventureis a both 10-minute walk from Puffin Hostel Vík.

“A great budget-friendly option when visiting Vik.”
This was my first ti,e staying at a hostel and I found the experience vey enjoyable and easy to get on with. The self-check in was very easy and the room, though a little tight, met our needs. The location of the hostel is excellent - just a short stroll to many of the attractions in Vik. Breakfast in the morning set us up for a great day of activities visiting an ice cave and driving east to Skaftafell. Parking at the hostel is a little tight, but there is plenty on-street parking in the vicinity.

Very comfy beds and pillows. Fantastic breakfast, especially loved the waffles, banana bread and apple bread. The place was clean and homey.

“OK place for the price but extremely noisey”
It is an old building and the restrictions in size and facilities are therefore understandable. The room was very small, as advertised and the hostel is very clean, albeit old. The included breakfast was a nice surprise. Showers were fairly clean and there was plenty of hot water.

“Living in a 1908 hostel-beautiful ambience”
Easy to locate & instructions remotely via text, clear & easy! Well equipped kitchen, & lovely cute layout with lots of different rooms-cosy! Great breakfast -variety sweet & savoury plus waffles. Narrow stairs 3rd floor, it’s a 1908 building so baggage- large suitcases an issue! We just had a small bag left rest in the car! Great accommodation.
