Hvammból Guesthouse is a small, family-run guest house situated 10 km from Vík. It offers studio apartments featuring a private entrance and small patio from which guests can enjoy views of the hills and endless sky. Each apartment has a kitchen, private bathroom, complimentary coffee and tea, as well as free WiFi. Bed linen and towels are also provided. There is plenty of free parking on-site. In the surroundings, you will find black sand beaches, glaciers, and waterfalls. The surrounding countryside is popular among birdwatchers searching for puffins. Dyrhólaey with its sea arches is only 6 kilometers away from Hvammból Guesthouse.

The accommodation was clean and well maintained, with a beautiful terrace offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Its location is excellent, just 10 minutes from Vik and close to Reynisfjara Beach and Dyrhólaey. We also really enjoyed being able to interact with the horses and sheep, which added a special touch to the experience.

“Just what we needed but could have been nicer”
It’s a great location with a view of the sea. Good parking. Easy to find location. Quiet. The bed was very comfortable and had basic things for our stay. We were able to see the northern lights!

“A heaven away from the snowstorms.”
The appartement was very convinient, clean and cozy.. Due to blocked roads and snowstorms we only stayed 2 nights instead of 3. When we were about to leave same thing happend again. We are greatfull that the owner let us stay untill mid afternoon when the roads were cleaned again.

“Great stay in a peaceful location”
We had a great stay at Hvammból Guesthouse. The location was perfect, and the accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking. The host was extremely kind and helpful. On the morning of a big snowstorm, our car got stuck in the car park, and he came with his tractor to clear the snow and help get it out. We’re so thankful for his assistance! Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

“Our stay was peaceful easy and stress free.”
The location was perfect for what we were looking for, half way between diamond beach and Reykjavík. We arrived quite late and it was easy to check in and parked right outside. We also got to the see the northern lights that night!
