Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. The daily breakfast includes a cold and hot buffet. Excellent location, stylish hotel, lovely little touch in the form of a small cake upon arrival in the room. Nespresso machine & small refrigerator were a bonus.. There is a small games room with pool and table tennis as well. The room had a lovely view of the mountain and staff were really friendly and alerted us to the Northern lights.

“For us the hotel was perfect in every sense; modern, clean, functional, friendly, well situated.”
The breakfast (included in the booking cost) was the best of all we experienced; a very generous buffet. The evening meals in the hotels restaurant was also very good. The rooms were excellent and we could join two together. The hotel architecture was very modern and fitted very much the landscapes of Island, with dark walls reflecting the omnipresent lava.

Very nice hotel in popular Vik. Close to the black beach and the restaurants around. The facilities were very nice, the room is spacious. They had a play room and a very nice restaurant. Recommended place!
