Great stay for a family of 4, host was very friendly and helpful with suggestions on good places to visit. Also kindly provided some delicious homemade jam, cheese and cakes. Lovely experience overall.

The property was great and perfect for our family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 12 and 7. It was lwell equipped and in a good location and our host was amazing provided homemade treats such as waffle mix, cakes and jam...which we all really enjoyed! Highly recommend

“Fanstastic place with a lovely host”

Really nice property, great location, very clean. Plenty of parking. The host was absolutely lovely and baked us lots of delicious cakes, bread, and made us jam and cheese, which was a very welcome personal touch. We booked two cabins which were adjoined but could have been fully separate.

Great hospitality from the owners. Location was close to town, walking distance or a short drive. Home made waffles, jam and cheese on arrival were devine and really made us feel welcome. The guesthouse had everything you needed for cooking. Very homely feeling to it which was nice given that we were snowed in for the day. If I am ever in Vik again I will visit again.

Everything! This apartment was perfect for our group of 4. A warm welcome from Gudrun, delicious home made jams, cheese and waffle batter. A well appointed kitchen, complete with waffle maker, French press (with coffee and biscuits provided!), toaster, microwave and dishwasher. Clean and comfortable rooms and communal space, very warm and cozy. Nice toiletries in the bathroom and a prime location just a short walk into the town and to the black sand beach. Such a good base for exploring the south coast of the island by car. Gudrun also kindly supplies extra towels and pillows upon request, and gave us a few pointers for getting into town and places to eat - all eats in town were very good! We loved smidjan for burgers, black crust pizza and Sadur Vik for more traditional cuisine.

“Lovely guesthouse”

Lovely 2 bedroom guesthouse. It was lovely and warm when we arrived which was very welcome as it had been snowing all day. The house is beautifully decorated and very homely. Very well equipped with everything you need. The host family were so welcoming. Provided us with waffle mix and homemade jam and cheese. Was delicious. Excellent location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. It's perfect for a stay in Vik.

“Very warm-hearted and caring host; FANTASTIC LOCATION, very clean”

The location is absolutely fantastic. The apartment was very clean and offered us a great place to rest. The kitchen offered everything we needed for breakfast and small dinners. The building itself is shared with the hosts, but the apartment is a complete separate unit with two bedrooms, sitting area, kitchen, own entry, and its own bathroom including a very clean shower. Gudrun, our host, really went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and cared for: from her prepared waffle mix (not too sweet!) to many other delicious goods, as well as an informative introduction to Vík upon our arrival by supplying us with maps and recommendations regarding what to see and where to eat (and her recommendations were absolutely on point! -> we had a fantastic dining experience thanks to her), she offered more than I ever would have expected in terms of feeling personally cared for. Gudrun is a warm and generally excellent host. And thinking back: If you're autistic and/or have MCAS / detergent sensitivity, I'm 99.5% sure you can contact Gudrun beforehand about accommodation regarding detergent or the use of chlorine beforehand. I believe she's the type of person who absolutely will care. We were able to go for quite a few walks to the beach from our hosts' house. Vík is great, and I feel we were very lucky to have been able to book this apartment.

Waffles, jams and cream cheese were prepared and waiting for us to have for breakfast. Location in VIK was close to shops and restaurants. Also easy access for day trips to glaciers, beaches and waterfalls.
