Overview
Situated on the shore of Lake Keitele, Hännilänsalmi Camping is a 10-minute drive from central Viitasaari. It offers free parking and log cabins with private or shared bathrooms. A fridge is found in all the heated cottages. Some cottages at Camping Hännilänsalmi have a terrace and a kitchenette and some also include a private sauna. Guests can prepare their meals in the communal kitchen. Meals and drinks can be enjoyed in the café during summer. Snacks and beverages can also be bought at the on-site kiosk. Leisure options include a sauna and table tennis. Rowing boats and fishing equipment can be rented on site. Children will appreciate the playground. Pihtipudas town centre is a 35-minute drive away.

We stayed only one night, but it was a perfect choice. The cottage is small yet comfortable, with everything available in the shared facilities. Beautiful nature around the lake – a very relaxing place for a short stay.

Camping is easily accessible from main road. Staff was friendly and helpfull, as there were issue with our booking due owner of camping has been changed. Originally booked cottage type was full booked, but we managed to find solution. Sauna next to the lake is very nice

Apart from any consideration about the camping itself, the lady who runs the place saved our day when my car suddently had a mechanical failure and no 'official' garage had time to take a look at it. She called a friend of her who came to the camping, checked what was wrong, brought in the spare part and fixed it on the spot. So, many thanks, kitos :-)

“Very nice camping place for one or two nights.”
Very beutyful located camping. The cottages are located on the small hills in the middle of forest. Very nice piars where you can swim in the lake. Helpful staff.

Nice place on the lake, we had cabin with sauna, so was great to relax. Everything was prepared to heat sauna, woods and everything you need, also nicely equipped cabin and kitchenette.

I love the location and cottage and facilities. They have different activities, you can borrow a fishing rod for fishing, do boating and swimming as well. Lots of green, forests, and the lake facing a bridge make the place photogenic and scenic beauty.
