A lovely relaxing stay in a peaceful location. Roland was a very good host.

It was a quiet location. Right by the river. We had use of the bicycles and cycled by the vineyards. The property was perfect for eating outside and can relax in the hammock. St Emillion is very close by.

Peaceful stay along the river in St-Emilion

Roland, our host, was extremely engaging and helpful. He was very knowledgeable of the amenities in the area, and the perfect host. We really enjoyed his gardens and the overall tranquility of his property. An excellent stay.

Lovely private getaway in the middle of wine region

We loved our stay here, Roland was so friendly and provided a lot of information from maps to tours around the area. The property was well equiped, private and comfortable for our stay. Using the fresh herbs from the garden was great too. Great location with grocery store 7min drive away, lots of wineries within a short drive and St Emilion. Bordeaux city was about 45min drive away. Great to have a washing machine and clothes airer. Would definitely stay here again.

What a lovely place and a great (beautifully quiet) location in the heart of wine land. Roland was an excellent host and despite language barriers, did everything he could to look after us

Nice cottage close to St Emillion and really pleasant and friendly owner despite the language barrier. Cottage was very well equipped with just about all the essentials needed. Rowland took time to explain the surroundings and how to use things in the cottage.

Cute place in a quiet location close to the river, a little hard to find but the host met us and took us on a detailed tour. Very communicative and friendly host. Beautiful gardens and comfortable space with an air conditioner in the bedroom. Had a travel cot and high chair for our baby.

Saint Emillion

Good location, right next to the river, nice property within 200m of a cave(winery) were they sell excellent wines and give you a free tour before a wine tasting at the end (for English customers it is were they produce wine for the show Peaky Blinders) also make wine for Tolkien 's Lord of the Rings books. the gite also have bikes which you can barrow and other sports are available. Saint Emillion is about 10 minutes away by car but you do need tobe early to get a good parking spot

Beautiful location, accommodation, gardens and host!

Fabulous self-contained apartment with loft bedroom on second level and extensive outdoor areas overlooking the river and just the right distance from St-Emilion town. We loved being able to return each evening from exciting wine tastings in and around St-Emilion, buy local fish, bring a bottle of local wine with us and enjoy a quiet dinner and evening eating outdoors in the gardens overlooking the river (it was cloudy our two nights, but we understand the sunsets would also have been wonderful). The host is a distinct bonus. Full of energy (he converted old sheds and workshops into thee fabulous apartments by himself!), not a word of English, didn't matter, we struggled with our French and he used is voice translator with gusto. Gave us a whirlwind map-based tour of the area, pointing our more must-go-to places than we possibly had time for. One in particular, a local wine cooperative, was absolutely terrific. We are still enjoying wines from there, down under in Australia. Would return in a heart-beat. Merci beaucoup, Roland!

Come, enjoy and you will never regret.

Roland welcomed us just like his family, with so many smiles on his face all the time. You have everything in the house, have a nice bbq or enjoy wonderful riverside dinner, not far away from Sant Emilion, surrounded by peace, comfort and sun.

Super! A lovely place to stay.

Super! Our host Roland was very kind and helpful. The gîte was a good size, comfortable and warm. The kitchen was well equipped, sheets and towels were provided, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small but with all that is needed, and a good shower. The stairs up to the bedroom are quite steep, not a problem for us, but could be for some people. There are 3 gîtes on the property, and we were in number 2, “Coquelicots” (poppies). It was a great spot to stay for exploring the countryside, towns and villages on both sides of the river. Also for the lovely sunset over the river, just a few metres away. We will definitely visit again, in the summer perhaps when we can make use of the garden and the outdoor sitting area. We intended to use the free bikes but didn’t get around to it. Definitely recommended if you are looking to stay in the area.
