Such a beautiful appartment , full of character and centrally placed down the alleyways of the old town . Although very near the centre square and the Basilica , the appt was extremely quiet and peaceful. We loved the balcony - a great place to sit and ‘ absorb ‘ the atmosphere.

“Practical accomodation in a lovingly restored and traditional basement”
The central location was very practical. The apartment is in the cellar of an old traditional town house so has bags of character and has been very carefully restored. As it is a cellar it stayed cool despite high outside temperatures, I didnt need to use the air con but found the fan very helpful. Having a washing machine was a real bonus I stayed 12 nights. When I had requests from the owners they were very responsive and helpful. We had a water outage in Victoria one day for about half a day and they brought me buckets of water for washing and toilet flush. The apartment is spacious and equipped with the things you need for a stay, very comfy sofa !

Red Ruby apartment is a large studio apartment with a large bathroom, that even includes a washing machine, a sofa, a 4 seater kitchen table, a drying room area, and a tiny courtyard with a 2 seater table. Unfortunately, most of the pictures shown are of the lobby of the house, NOT of the apartment. The location is great - it's 2 minutes walk to St George's piazza, where there are around 7 good restaurants. This is an old Maltese house. Most of these houses have little natural light and are dark, so need a lot of internal lights. This one had adequate lighting, but could have done with more lighting around the kitchen area. There are adequate kitchen utensils, and the host kindly supplied a small supply of coffee and tea. The bed is very firm (too hard for me!). The TV has access to apps (eg Netflix, Prime). We went in October and the house temperature was good. I would imagine in the summer, this cool, dark house would be a welcome place from the summer heat.
