Le Due Volpi exceeded all expectations, and Cinzia and Aldo were wonderful hosts willing to go the extra mile throughout our stay. From a much-appreciated emergency pickup at the local train station to free bottles of chianti whenever we wanted some wine, they did everything they could to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The farmhouse is simply wonderful and Cinzia had some great stories about the history of the beautiful building.

Great hope collided with reality and turned into a great disappointment. The room is dark and gloomy. However, the further the worse. Not cleaned up at all. Vermin everywhere. Even in the cutlery drawer. Breakfasts... Oh my god…The comments I have seen positive. And the truth is that it's almost the same every day. Cake, coffee, same fruit salad in a small bowl. Yogurt, jam in a plastic package, honey, cereal and light bread. Sometimes some cold meats or one croissant. Overall poorly. These “hearty breakfasts” are rather average. Driveway to the quarters is tragic. In the boarding house itself, there is a gentle “emphasis” on not using too much electricity and quite a lot of delicate orders from the owners. In general, peace and quiet but these are the only pluses. Too bad. It was good and it worked out as usual.

“An experience of typical hillside living which we enjoyed.”

Breakfast was served in a separate outside unit by owner who was very accommodating. Property is off the beaten track, up high with lovely views. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pool area was in the garden and very relaxing. Our room was ground floor with kitchenette. The house was old, and in keeping with it’s age and character; consequently the room was dark but we loved our stay and would go back.

Everything was great, clean, room was really spacious. Pool was great after all day walking in near by cities. Its great for those who wants to get out of city life and try the life in beautifull Toscan nature.

We loved our stay at Le Due Volpi. The highlights were the friendliness of the hosts, their willingness to spend time with us, cook pizza. The area is very nice. We enjoyed walking in the hills, through the farmland. The room was comfortable and had a lot of personality from the old structure. Breakfast was great, and the garden by the pool very relaxing. There are villages and sights to see in the area as well. We would certainly return.

Cinzia was an incredibly helpful host who anticipated our needs and was very attentive to answer all of our questions. The stay was beyond gorgeous, perched in the Tuscan hillside, but a car is absolutely NECESSARY for this location. Vicchio is a great town for sampling local food and many villages are nearby for day trips - Highly recommend this property.

Absolutely beautiful location and the property is fantastic. Everything we hoped it would be. The house has 4 good sized rooms over 3 floors, a self contained loggia kitchen and thd garden and pool were great. We had a lovely trip and Cinzia and Aldo were fantastic hosts. They were very kind and helpful.
