Large rather faded hotel with a certain charm. Rooms and bathrooms badly need refurbishing. The dinner was good.

Wonderful hospitality, excellent food, and a great location. Run by a charming French couple who always make us feel welcome. The restaurant food is good value - you can't go wrong with the delicious menu du jour in a grand dining room blessed with beautiful views of the valley and surrounding hills. The location in the heart of the Cantal is great for walking and cycling. Bonus points for the orange juicer at breakfast that turns out properly fresh orange juice.

Hosts were very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom bright and well appointed. The view from the room was a staggeringly beautiful panorama of the mountains. The hotel itself was charmingly old fashioned with a sense of art deco style. Dinner was excellent; the frites maison delicious. The village itself was outrageously picturesque, with lovely traditional Auvergne architecture.

Spotlessly clean suite. Good breakfast, lunch was available most days but not necessary as you would be out sightseeing. There was not a choice for dinner, however the standard of cooking of the meal and presentation of it was superb. The hosts were most welcoming and couldn’t do enough to offer advice on what to see and where to go, nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you.

Fabulous welcome from the hosts. The restaurant is excellent, the rooms very comfortable. Parking and garage facilities are available. The location is idyllic and peaceful.

“Nice extended stay address for exploring the area”

We had a suite for the week - perfect! Lots of light, windows facing two directions, comfortable sofa, big screen TV, sound proof windows, black out curtains. Close to a bakery. The owners are wonderful- we forgot the HDMI cable to connect the Nintendo switch to the TV and one magically appeared the next day while we were out exploring. Thanks!

“A comfortable stay in a beautiful area”

We were made very welcome. The room was comfortable despite the high outside temperatures. Dinner and breakfast were all good,, no temptation to eat out. There is a swimming pool in the garden, we didn't use it but it looks very nice.

Wonderful welcome from the hosts. Very nice building with very pleasant, well-appointed rooms in a good location. Nice pool and terrace at the rear of the building. Private parking for our motorbikes. The evening meal was exceptional, and service was great. Had a really good night’s sleep. Breakfast was very pleasant, too, and served from early to late in the morning.

We had a choice of rooms, we selected the largest and most comfortable room with a wonderful view. It was on the first floor so it was easy to go down to a simple but very fresh breakfast each morning.

Great location, service was exceptional especially during the evening meal. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

This is delightful hotel with lots of charm and run with an efficient warmth rarely found nowadays. We had a moderatlely priced suite which was spacious and comfortable, made good use of the pool, ate very well each night in the restaurant and enjoyed lazy coffees and aperitifs on the terrace .
