Overview
Set in an 18th-century castle, Chateau Le Souley is a guest house located in Vertheuil-en-Médoc, a 10-minute drive from Pauillac in the heart of Médoc vineyards. It is surrounded by a 3-acre tree-filled park with an outdoor swimming pool. Viewing the garden, all rooms at Chateau Le Souley include a desk and an en suite bathroom. “Beautiful days en le Médoc”
The hosts couldn't be nicer,everything we needed provided with no fuss.a lovely big room with historical character, looking onto the garden , hammocks,fruit trees and a beautiful swimming pool.everything was gorgeous, the breakfast excellent, great coffee! Our host J.P. was full of local knowledge about the history and cultural life and of course the whole world of Viniculture, fascinating to be shown a window onto a whole universe that we personally take for granted as the finished product!! We really liked the balance of helpfulness and space given by the hosts which is surely true hospitality. The village is very nice,a proper normal village with a great restaurant/bar which does lovely food at a reasonable price and very nice ,welcoming people.the assiette de mer was mighty. Also the local shop was great.,all necessary supplies for a happy stay.next door to an interesting very old Abbey which sits beside a museum and art gallery space, the feeling of a very welcoming community.

Conveniently located close to Pauillac and Saint-Estephe, in a quiet location in the vineyards. The host, Jean-Pierre, was super nice, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was exceptionell and included homemade jam from the Chateau's garden. We will choose the place again when we return to the region

“Chateau Selby is a amazing unique experience in a beautiful property owed by a wonderful proprietor”
The proprietor JP (Jean Pierre) was extremely friendly and informative about the area and best advice on areas/things to do in the region. Made us most welcome with a wonderful breakfast and a gourmet dinner in the evening if required. The décor in this 16th century chateau was beautiful and unique.
