Amazing breakfasts with so many courses. Beautiful swimming pool in a lovely garden setting. We also made use of the jacuzzi and sauna, and borrowed bikes for a cycle of the coast. Thank you Madeleine and Alain for being so friendly and making us feel so welcome.

We had the most fantastic stay at Chateau La Gravière. The hosts, Madeleine and Alan, are incredibly nice and welcoming! They are always happy to offer suggestions on where to go or simply have a pleasant conversation. If you have the chance, don't miss asking Madeleine to prepare dinner during your stay—you'll have a hard time to find a better chef elsewhere! We only spent two nights at the Chateau, but they were unforgettable. Thanks again!

The entire property is stunning. It is situated in a beautiful, peaceful location. The Atlantic coast and Medoc wineries are only a short drive away. Madeleine and Alain are such relaxed, hospitable people who are perfect hosts.

Beautifully designed guesthouse with pool,jacuzzi, spa, yoga facility and the most beautiful golden retriever Cugo. Everything is super clean, rooms are very spacious and shower is fabulous.

Beautiful place with garden, pool and vineyard. Everything is decorated beautifully and pleasant. The room is huge with a table and big armoire. The bed and shower are very comfortable and good. Breakfast was amazing (fresh eggs made for your choice, granola, fresh orange juice, coffee/tea, fresh baguette and croissants, jams and a small fruit salad). There’s a big Spa room with huge jacuzzi and lounge beds and a sauna, free and whenever you want. You can also book a massage if you want. They have a lounge room where you can make yourself tea.coffee, with books library and game boards. Madeleine and Alain are the best hosts! Very helpful and generous. We also had dinner with them. It was amazing. Great food and wine. Madeleine is an excellent cook and Alain is a great company to talk to. We enjoyed our stay so much and it felt like staying with really good friends. Thank you Madeleine & Alain.

Amazing place, strategic position into the nature, quite and outside the city but near as well. The owner Madeleine was amazing. The breakfast was top quality with homemade jams and we asked for was prepared at the moment. Everything was fresh and tasteful.

“Amazing Hosts, Property and Stay!”

Ohhhh this place... beautiful location (inside and out), hosts exceeded every expectation, immaculately clean, cozy and comfortable. Unexpected conveniences like....thoughtful and personal touches everywhere, outdoor pool with lounges and beach towels, hammocks in the trees to use, benches near flowers, large parking area, washer/dryer, bikes and personalized onsite classes can be arranged (ie yoga and wine tasting). Absolutely delicious home made breakfasts every day, and I HIGHLY recommend the dinner with the hosts (trust me she is an amazing cook). The hosts are beyond expectations in every way. kind, helpful, funny...it is like staying with old friends.

“Perfection all round!”

We had the best stay at Chateau La Graviere with hosts Madeleine & Alain. They made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. They both speak very good English and were very willing to speak English with us for which we’re very grateful as our French is terrible! The property and gardens are absolutely stunning throughout. Our beautiful, spacious room was on the ground floor with a little private terrace. It had the most comfortable bed, size-wise and in terms of luxurious bed linen, with an excellent shower en suite. The sauna, jacuzzi, and pool were real bonuses but we spent most of our downtime reading and snoozing in their hammocks in the garden - bliss! There were also bikes available for us to borrow, which made for some lovely trips to vineyards and the surrounding villages and the town of Pauillac - all very easy as the area is so flat and the roads really quite quiet. We chose to take advantage of their offer of 4-course table d’hote dinners on 2 of our 3 nights, which were absolutely delicious. On the other night we joined a yoga class that they hold twice a week , and although we’re not the most experienced yogis we enjoyed the class and were made to feel very welcome. We very much hope to visit Madeleine and Alain at Chateau La Graviere again - and soon! Highly, highly recommended.

Amazing hosts, delicious food, lovely house and garden.

The Chateau La Gravière is a very beautiful location in the winery of Medoc. It is like a retreat to relax. The garden with swimming pool is huge, a lot of shade, ripe apples and figs in September. The Chateau is nicely modern decorated, we felt like at home. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and they often have time for a interesting chat in the garden. The hosts gave us the feeling coming home. They have a lot of good ideas for restaurants and they supported us to make it possible to visit a chateau with wine degustation. We estimated their invitation to a delicious saturday dinner with the hosts and all guests very much. It was a really famliar atmosphere sitting all together round the woode table. Housekeeping is on request. The breakfast is delicious, with fresh apples and figs from their garden.

The location was perfect. Peaceful and calm. Exceptional breakfast and comfortable, airy, quiet room. Lovely gardens. Pool perfect for a cool dip. Madeline and Alain were charming. Able to use bikes snd washing machine facilities. Easy walking to charming Abbey with great lunchtime restaurant.
