The best place to stop on your way through Italy. The host waited for us with dinner as we arrived late because of traffic. The food was wonderful and the fecities were great, the room was even bigger than expected. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Highly recommended for a stopover. The room is clean and modern, the bathroom spacious and relatively new. Despite central location in the old town and restaurant in the house, it is quiet in the room, for the car there are two reserved parking spaces nearby. Highly recommended to eat in the restaurant, the host is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast Italian (croissant, jam plus orange juice plus a bottle of water), the coffee very tasty.

“Authentic Italian hospitality at its best!”

We were looking for a place to stay halfway between our old home in Germany and our future home in southeastern Tuscany. After a long drive, we also wanted a dinner with good wine possible in or near the accommodation. Our room and especially the bathroom were pleasantly spacious, recently renovated, very clean. On a very hot travel day, we enjoyed the nice coolness of the air conditioning. This was also well manuel adjustable, because on the other hand we do not appreciate sleeping in an icebox ;-). The house is very quietly located in a traffic-calmed zone in the old village center of Vertemate, covered parking spaces extra for guests are nearby. Before dinner we enjoyed an aperitive on the small terrace, later a fantastic meal in the cozy restaurant. Carlito is a very friendly, attentive host, his recommendations regarding food and matching wines were a perfect fit. A wide range of wines, regional and from all over Italy, is offered, also craft beer and other beverages. All dishes are freshly prepared, the appetizers and homemade pasta are fantastic - and so plentiful that we didn't even order a main course or dessert. Next time, however, we also want to taste that and leave out antipasti or primi piatti for it ;-). For breakfast there was aromatic coffee, juice, water, fresh, sweet and delicious croissants from the local bakery. Coffee and juices are offered another time, in addition packaged pastries, packaged small portions of butter, jam, Nutella, etc. are provided. We are not big breakfast eaters, especially not after such a rich dinner. The breakfast offer was completely sufficient for us and the double espresso and capucino were excellent. Because we are only beginners in Italian, it was very pleasant that Carlito speaks excellent English. We will definitely come back (have to commute back and forth more times) and can highly recommend both "trattoria" and "alloggio"! Thanks for everything, Carlito - a presto! Lea & Gregory

I would like to thank the owner for being so hospitable to us. This place is 10/10. The people here is very warm and kind. The food is very delicious. They explained the menu in English so you can understand properly. The room is very cozy and clean. We got a problem in bus transportation but the owner pick us up in the train station. He is so kind. You can never go wrong staying in this place. RECOMMENDED!!! planning to go back again soon and staying for a longer time. Thank you 🤍🤍
