We loved the location. We were able to walk around easily and visit Monet's garden (a 10 minute drive away). We were close to a delicious boulangerie for coffee and a croissant in the morning. Our host Millie was very helpful in her suggestions and responses to our questions. Highly recommend La Bonne Etoile!

“Quaint and centrally located.”

It is a quaint french town house full of personality. It is in an awesome location close to the weekly markets and supermarket. It was a great base to set off and explore all that the local country side had to offer. It is in a very quiet part of town and the river is close by. The hosts daughter was lovely and helped us alot.

This is a lovely period property in an amazing setting. It is right across from Vernon’s centuries old cathedral and a two minute walk to the Seine. The place was scrupulously clean when we arrived. The kitchen has all the mod cons and the lounge is a haven for relaxation. The bed was very comfortable as well. We rented bikes in Vernon for an easy and beautiful ride into Giverny to see Monet’s house and gardens. Well worth it but go early to avoid the crowds. Vernon is a hour by train from Paris-Saint Lazare so it very easy to spend time in the big city and then return to more relaxing environments. Our host was charming and very helpful with recommendations. We had a lovely meal at the Bistrot des Fleur one evening but spent most nights making the produce from the amazing market on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

This place is a gem. Such a beautiful, charming apartment in an old building right next to the ancient cathedral. The view from those windows probably has not changed in 500 years. The apartment is on 3 levels, very comfortable, very clean, nicely furnished and very quiet. It has a lot of character. It was a pleasure to stay in it. The people renting it were very friendly and helpful and they gave us recommendations for restaurants in town which we tried and we liked them a lot.

It didn’t feel like a rental. It was very thoughtfully furnished and decorated. Very comfortable except for the stairs and entrance. Location excellent. We loved the bells.
