“There's only one word: perfect.”

We've been using OLGA Chambres for a few years now when travelling from Austria to the UK (and back). It became our halfway-"home from home". And everytime it's the same: simply perfect! Very easy free street parking right outside the property; spacious, comfy and quiet apartment with a huge bathroom (+bathtub); spotlessly clean in every corner; wonderful beds; and then there's the owners's very nice breakfast tray (croissants, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals etc. – it always changes) that he leaves at your apartment's doorstep in the morning (no wonder he's a chef in a nearby restaurant); Really, he couldn't do any better and we're already looking forward to coming back in July even if we've just left a week ago :-)

Ours was a last minute booking for one night and we were pleasantly surprised. We liked the property and were nicely surprised with a nice breakfast. Beds are comfortable.

Our third (and not the last) time staying here while travelling from Austria to the UK. You just can't go wrong with this apartment: free parking right outside the door, extremely spacious apartment with comfy beds and a huge (!) bathroom with a tub. Waldek, the owner, is a chef in a local restaurant, so you'll have a pre-filled fridge with local beer, anti-alcoholic drinks and some snacks. In the morning, Waldek will put a wonderful French breakfast right outside your apartment door (croissants, fresh fruit etc.). BEST OF ALL, though: After our third stay I FINALLY got to cuddle with his two cute pug dogs, Lili and Simona. Make sure you meet them.

Nice, clean rooms and furnishings. Large clean bathroom. Quiet, peaceful part of town. Check-in is possible at any time, even very late, key handover is via coded box. Breakfast OK.

“Stunning value for money, even if you're not just passing through”

We (parents + a teenager) have stayed here the second time whilst on a roadtrip from Austria to the UK. As much as we had enjoyed it two years ago we chose to stay here again this time as this accommodation is simply perfect in every way. Let me specify: First of all, it's not just a large room but an impeccably clean, fully equipped, spacious apartment with everything you could ask for: huge (!) bathroom (with a big bathtub), two separate bedrooms with absolutely lovely smelling sheets and exceptionally comfortable beds. The living room has a microwave, tableware+cutlery plus a fridge which will be (similar to a 5* hotel minibar) filled with cold beer, wine, various lemonades, sweets, snacks etc upon your arrival (you just leave the money for these items on the table when you leave). In the morning, an absolutely stunning little breakfast variation (croissants, fresh melons and grapes, fruit juices, even a chocolate donut was provided for our kid) will be left right in front of your apartment door for self-pick-up (you won't see or hear the landlord, Waldek, doing this as you won't see him anyway -> check-in is contactless and done via key-code which he will send you just in time before you arrive). Plenty of (free and safe) parking spaces are right in front of the house (literally 20 metres), so no worries about luggage. Best of all: Waldek and his husband have three adorable pug dogs (many funny photos of them can be seen in the apartment). Unfortunately, this year they were not present when we arrived 🥲 Good to know for roadtrip-fans like us, travelling by car: The highway is just a 10-min-drive away. Would give a 11-star review if possible 👌

Perfect apartment for family stopover on way from UK to Germany. Easy access. Easy parking. Great location within walking distance of historic Verdun centre, restaurants etc. Hassle free stay for one night with great breakfast left by door in the morning. Fully recommend this for a short stay.

Nice spacious apartment. Good value for money. From the outside the building was not very nice but inside it was good enough.

“An Absolute Gem”

Breakfast was left outside our spacious apartment and was simple but delicious. Croissants, pain au chocolat and fresh fruit. We ate dinner at the owner's restaurant in Rue Chaussée, right by the ancient city gate. The restaurant is called Krok and is highly recommended for unpretentious, freshly made food. The owner, Waldek, made us feel very welcome. The apartment itself was delightful and would make a great base for a much longer stay. There is so much to take in both in the city and the battlefield.

A beautiful apartment - modern, clean & comfortable. Quiet at night, had everything we needed. Great breakfast. Perfect location for visiting Verdun (less than 5 mins drive from the centre) or as a stopover on a long journey (close to A4). Very friendly & helpful host.

“Great Stay in Verdun”

Apartment was great. Small issue with one of the beds not having bedding was very quickly dealt with and host turned up within a few minutes with the required duvet and pillow. Plentiful breakfast delivered - was welcome. Easy walk to centre.

“Simply perfect!”

W., the host, is most certainly the friendliest landlord I've ever met - period. The "room" (which is actually quite a big apartment) is equipped with everything you need (fridge, coffee, sweets etc.). Breakfast is provided from 8am literally right in front of your door – contactless – (W. will leave a selection of croissants, pain au chocolat, some milk, jam and and and …) right on the doorstep. Parking? Right in front of the house. It takes 30secs to get your luggage out of the car – and in the apartment. Best of all: W. has three pug dogs! You need to meet and cuddle them!
