We had a fantastic stay at Les Quartiers d'Annelise and used it as our base to explore the battlefields of Verdun and Verdun itself. A car is a must if you want to visit some of the lovely restaurants Verdun has to offer ( we had hired one and flew into Luxembourg) The French breakfast was lovely and a great start to the day). Look forward to going again Merci Annelise for being a lovely host and so understanding

“Perfect in Every Way”
Les Quartiers d’Annelise is fabulous. I was warmly met on arrival, by the lovely Annelise, and I was made to feel very welcome. The accommodation (on the 1st floor) itself is very spacious, beautifully furnished, yet at the same time very cosy. Low lighting adds to the ambiance, relaxing after a long day. You have the place to yourself, which is wonderful, and quiet too. A comfy bed and a super bathroom; fantastic! I particularly liked having ample off road private parking. And breakfast the following morning was delicious: croissant, fresh bread, homemade jam, fruit, coffee, orange juice … all delivered up to the dining area upstairs by Annelise. I really enjoyed my stay, it felt like home from home, as if you were part of the family. Perfect in every way.

“Fabulous and quite unique large room with great character and hospitality”
Annelise was so welcoming and friendly and we particularly enjoyed hearing about the history of the building and the restoration work they have done. Really couldn't recommend this place enough. Verdun is also a very interesting town to visit (thogh parking seems quite tight - but not at this property which is a little bit outside the historic centre).

“A really fantastic taste of France”
If you want to try something different to a hotel - this is it. The hostess was great. She speaks English but still offers a very authentic French experience. The room and living area are not only comfortable, clean and very spacious, but also beautiful. It's an old building - I think an old military barracks, but beautifully restored. Breakfast was also authentically French. This means not huge amounts of food, but smaller amounts of very high quality food - think fresh strawberries from the garden, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh baguette, fresh croissants, home made jam, French butter, excellent coffee etc...

“Lovely house, great location, welcoming host”
The room was very nicely decorated (modern, but keeping the some old elements of the original house) and very comfortable. The host, Annelise, was extremely welcoming and gave as a lot of info about what we can do in Verdun, including restaurants recommendations. We took the optional breakfast and it was a good idea, as we had everything served when we wanted and it was delicious. Location is also great, 5min by car to the Verdun old city and maybe 20min by car to the battlefield.

“Highly recommended”
The location is a bit out of town, but there is an excellent restaurant 100m away. Annelise also provided an excellent breakfast each day. The building is also a former cavalry barracks so for the WW1 history visitor it is especially evocative.

“A lovely property on the outskirts of historic Verdun.”
Visited this property as part of a motorcyle tour with three friends. This is a lovely property on the outskirts of Verdun (30min walk into the town centre). The accommodation was a shared room with bathroom, separate WC and access to a large lounge. The host, Annelise was very welcoming and provided a great breakfast at a small extra cost. Verdun is a town with a lot of history and would be well worth a longer stay and proper exploration.
