“Perfect stay in a beautiful place”

First of all, I would like to say a kind word about the hosts – very nice and caring people. When there occurred a problem with the TV antenna, the hostess quickly helped to fix everything, and we were able to enjoy watching TV (by the way, the TV set was great). The guest house is located about four to five kilometres from the centre of Ventspils in a beautiful area. In the mornings you can watch swallows and various other birds. There is a large and absolutely safe parking on the territory of the house. The room we lived in was very clean and beautiful, the equipment of the bathroom worked perfectly. The small shared kitchen had everything you need and in sufficient quantities. At the same time, it was very convenient and pleasant to have a snack in the fresh air. We were also lucky with the neighbours in the house, everyone turned out to be friendly and polite person. We will be happy to come to Spicīte again someday.

“Convenient and pleasant overnight stay for families”

The room was bright, clean, and nicely arranged for a family, with separate beds for children and a large bed for adults. One of the biggest advantages was the option to arrive at any time thanks to the contactless key pick-up – it made travel planning much easier and more flexible, without the need to coordinate with anyone. There was a small kitchen available, which was just enough to prepare a quick breakfast for the kids – nothing fancy, but everything essential was there. We also appreciated the ample parking space, especially since we arrived late in the evening. The central beach of Ventspils was only about a 10-minute drive away, so the location worked well for us. There were quite a lot of mosquitoes, but that’s just part of a Baltic summer – not something the host can control. Overall, it was a perfectly decent and comfortable place to stay the night, especially for a short stop during a family road trip.

It was quiet

“Very disappointed, high price for very poor quality.”

We stayed in Studio. The place was cold with cold floors. There was no shampoo, so we had to buy our own. In the mornings there was no hot water. There was also no privacy as the entrance door had glass part which could not be covered, so anybody walking past could look inside. WiFi had poor signal strength and was not usable. The wall beside the bed had "ugly" holes leaving an impression of a stay in a cheap motel. Overall the high price we got charged for the stay was not justifiable.

Calm place with comfy beds, further from the city but no problem if you have a car: 5 min drive and you are in the city centre or the beach. The room had its private bathroom and a possibility to use shared kitchen; there are some tables to enjoy your food outside.
