Located 1.5 km from Ventouse in the Charente countryside, La Sonnette B&B offers limited free WiFi access and a private terrace. “An excellent choice for a stopover, particularly in summer when less damp”
The vibe of the place is fabulous. It is well styled and the bed is very comfortable. The place is immaculately clean and very well and thoughtfully equipped in the kitchen area. The host is fantastic and very welcoming who was kind enough to turn on the heater before our arrival.

“Really nice people making an excellent stay.”
This is a very pleasant, self contained, dwelling. It had everything we needed, including a small kitchen with microwave, crockery, a sink and a fridge. It was very comfortable and very clean. There is also a small seating area outside which catches the evening sun.

Very friendly hosts. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare an overnight meal. Good breakfast. Very quiet location. Very reasonable price.

This would have been a ten point review as the facilities were very good except sketchy wifi (not a big deal and wouldn't have affected the score). We were greeted very well and made welcome, offered a couple of beers, ice pops for the boys and some milk for which we expressed our sincere gratitude on such a hot day.

“Great place to stop, and with the kitchen you could easily stay a few days as a base to explore...”
The room was more like a little 'bedsit' with small but well equipped kitchen, usual bathroom etc.. The room had a light atmosphere, well lit and welcoming - actually more like a family bedroom The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was good and more than enough.
