This is an ancient room full of history, but it has been cleaned very well and decorated warmly by the landlord. The landlord is extremely warm and considerate - they even downloaded WeChat to communicate with me for better interaction, which was really thoughtful.

Ca' Rielo is a beautiful, historic house located just a few minutes' walk from the main train station — yet tucked away in a peaceful, quiet area where you don’t have to squeeze through crowds of tourists. The apartment is incredibly decorated, with great taste and character. There are paintings, old souvenirs, and the whole atmosphere truly captures the spirit of old Venice. At the same time, all the modern comforts work perfectly: air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a humidifier. Everything is spotlessly clean, fresh-smelling, and fully equipped — from dishes to small essentials that make it easy to stay not just for a few days, but even 2–3 weeks. The place is simply stunning, and the host is exceptionally welcoming and helpful. He’ll suggest the best walking routes around Venice, recommend great restaurants, and share the story of the house. We stayed there with small children and loved every moment.

“Artistic place”

The place is artistically designed. It has a big bedroom comfortable for 4 of us. Location is very good. It is near a water bus terminal and near the main station (train, bus and water bus) too. It is near restaurants and shops. The host was very proactive and friendly. He sent us suggested places to go. He also made me feel like an old friend by flooded me with information of the house and Venice. All great information and suggestions. It takes >30 mins to walk to San Marco though.

“almost perfect accommodation”

For me, who often travels and goes on business trips, everything in this accommodation was more than expected, and this is almost perfect. The Venetian host was perfectly quick and provided all the information I needed. It was an old Venetian building, but the interior was very clean and convenient to use. It's a very harmonious accommodation between the past and the present. There is a developed commercial district around, and the accommodation is very quiet. If my close friend visits Venice, I will not hesitate to recommend this place.

The property was very nice with lots of character. It was a nice, quick walk from the train station. Having a small kitchen was handy. The apartment we stayed at was on the ground floor which meant it was easily accessible. All facilities at the property worked well.

“Affordable, charming, and extremely conveniently located place to stay in Venice”

Ca' Rielo is one of the best places I can imagine to stay in Venice. The place is rustic and very charming to come home to after exploring the city. Its location is essentially perfect. Venice is very dense, which makes exploring the city extremely easy no matter where you are. However, doing so with a suitcase is not enjoyable. Ca' Rielo is located on the same island as the train station, which means no need to lug your suitcase up and down the bridges. Additionally, the street it's located in is very quiet, peaceful and charming, yet it only takes less than a minute to get back on the tourist circuit: the streets of Venice that connect the islands. This circuit is extremely busy at all times of the year, and yet you cannot hear anything from the comfort of Ca' Rielo. Also some of the best affordable restaurants in the city are located on the peaceful canal just outside the unit. Alessandro, the host, was exceptionally responsive and helpful, even checking to see if I left a gift in the room after I left (I later found it in my luggage). He made me feel as if I always had support if I needed anything. If you are looking for an affordable, charming, and convenient place to stay in Venice, you have found it in Ca' Rielo.
